Tire Sizing for 17x13 and 17x11 CCW Classics???

So I'm running into some issues finding tires for my CCW Classics....17x13 and 17x11. Can anyone tell me what they have run on their Gen2 GTS with these sizes? I was hoping for R888R but they are so limited in 17" sizing! Thanks!

For the street I only run Michelins.

Better would be to upgrade to SRT wheels and have a lot more options on tires, and I have several sets for sale. :D

But if you have to stay with the 17" fronts:

Rears:

It will be hard to find matching, but they are the same brand.

Eventually I will be upgrading to 18s or 19/18s with a new set of wheels....for now I'm stuck with these though.

I was hoping to fill of the massive wheelwells a little bit more.....17s on factory size tires leave so much room.

I fucking LOVE my 17s.
Not saying other wheel sizes don't look good on the Viper. Put enough of a drop on it and they'll fill up that gap.

I'm assuming that's your car GTS Dean? Love the look and I'm sure the performance is there to back it up!

Bringing this thread back....Looks like I'm gonna go with 335/35ZR17 Michelin PS2 Rears and up front I'd like a little taller and wider tire so going with a 315/35ZR17 Toyo R888R. Any reasons anyone can think of that I should not?

Endlessgts June 9th, 2020 12:52 AM

If I had 18s this would also be alot easier....but unfortunately for now I'm going with these 17s until I decide on a set of 18s or 19s for the car.

Otherwise how stupid do you think 315/35R17 with 275/40ZR17 would be? They are both exact same height of 25.67"....I just feel like the rear needs to have 335 or wider with these cars.

My current setup is stock 275/40/17 front, 345/35/17 rear. It's half the price per tire to run the toyos out back, and they fill the wheel well pretty well. I haven't had any traction issues, just don't stomp on it when you're turning and don't go crazy in the rain.

That ride height, as with Dean's, is an epic OEM+ "stance." Very nice man.

315/35/17s look VERY stupid with 275/40/17s. This picture doesn't show it great, but yeah--with stock suspension height there just is not enough sidewall to come close to filling the wheel well. Plus, it looks kinda ricer with so much rim sticking out on the side. You might be able to make it work with a big ole drop, but I personally don't think it is worth loosing clearance over

You could bump the barrels to make them 18"

GTS Dean June 13th, 2020 10:50 AM

I talked to CCW and it can be done for $290 per corner in new barrels. This is a DIY operation.
