A new Classified Ad has been posted to the Vipers For Sale section:
Description: 2000 Viper GTS is 1 of 53 produced with Black exterior over Cognac interior. Extensive modifications were added to create the most responsive and engaging Viper possible, which total over $30k. The Viper has a clean title with nearly 107k miles. I have owned the Viper for nearly 5 years as a daily driver and maintained to the highest level with no expense spared.
There is no slop in this car that is associated with the GEN2 Viper, instant throttle response and the shifter is precise and the feel is unsurpassed. The corner balanced suspension and alignment were set-up to reduce Viper’s twitchy tendencies so it builds confidence in the corners and braking while providing comfort for its daily driver duties. Modifications consist of: big brakes, adjustable suspension with NASCAR components, increase in power, underbody aero and driveline rigidity (complete list of modifications in the pictures).
Since this is a driven Viper it does have flaws in the paint, which consist of significant rock chips on the front bumper, a divot on the hood, clearcoat blemishes, flaking paint on the rear bumper and minor scratches. Overall, the flaws are un-noticeable from 5ft, but up close they are visible. The Viper draws a lot of positive attention from its driven look, but if you seek perfection it would need to be repainted. The cognac steering wheel and shift knob are notorious for discoloration and show it. The ceiling nets look good and the visors have been recovered. The seats and other interior surfaces are in good condition. The hood/bumper/headlights are in proper alignment.
Since this is a daily driver, the cooling system works properly; under-hood and cabin heat management, including new A/C components, have been addressed to ensure the Viper is as efficient and cool as possible.
The Viper has had 4 owners (owners 2 & 3 on Carfax are the same person) and the minimum ownership was the original owner at 2 years / 21,000 miles. So this car has been well maintained and enjoyed by all of its owners, not passed around when maintenance was due like many Vipers. The structural inspection in 2003 and 2008 was the 999 frame recall.
The complete list of modifications is in the gallery and maintenance records are available upon request. The Viper is located in San Diego, CA and title is in hand. Complete hard-bound service manuals are included. I will assist with transportation at the buyer’s expense, but would not hesitate to drive this car across the country.
