Engine Wiring Harness

Anyone got a GEN-II engine wiring harness? I had a small engine fire yesterday and burned the injector harness, alrernator harness and probably the crank position wiring as well (most everything on the passenger side of the engine) HAven't dug into the carnege since parking the car. Just trying to get some potential part sources lined up early. Gotta see what burned near the firewall on the passenger side too. Big loom of burned wires over there/under there. Atleast I saved the car thanks to a few Saints that stopped to help...whew.

DOing some tuning for high boost...was 17+ PSI in 3rd and pushed it too far. Some sort of massive backfire blew the blower manifold apart on the passenger side, blew injectors out...and well, you get the picture. Going back to NA with a GEN-IV manifold and stop trying to kill myself with these stupid supercharger prototypes. Ugh. I'll sell the WHipple 4.0 and associated components to the Mustang community. At least all those parts are good. What the hell was I thinking? My nerves are shot. Could have been soooo very bad! Happy 2020.

Don’t know much about this guy, maybe someone else can chime in. He lists engine harnesses though. Looks Like new oem and take offs.

Note that the harness near the firewall gets heat to it and the insulation can become brittle. So watch out able used old harnesses.

That is why ART replaced the harness on the turbo builds.

Testing like that, you sure have put a pressure relief valve at 30psi cracking pressure or whatever psi limit tapped into the manifold at different locations.
Welcome to the world of development!

Ordered the Drag Pac single throttle body upper manifold for the GEN-IV intake from Prefix. Since I have the GEN-IV heads and all that installed, figured the Drag Pac manifold would be easier than trying to install two mechanical throttle bodies on the standard GEN-IV manifold. Haven't dug into the car since parking it. I have no idea as to how bad the burned wiring is. Biggest concern is by the firewall on the passenger side. Might have to pull th eengine to get at it I'm thinking....ugh.

Hate to hear that, but glad that you’re ok. Sounds like it could have been much worse.

Dug into the carnage today. Pulled the blower off. The entire passenger side of the manifold had lifted off the base...blew it about an inch off. Stripped all the bolts so maybe I didn't have enough or threaded deep enough?? Regardless, the burnt wiring can be fixed. The injector harness took the brunt of the fire. Most other wiring survived by sacrificing the protective mesh loom covering. What a mess.
