What transmission fluid to use in T-56.

So I have a 1996 RT-10 Twin Turbo with a fully built T-56 from Tick Performance. I need to change the fluid in the transmission and I am wondering what the best fluid would be. Tick Performance told me any house brand dexron III fluid would work. I can't seem to find just normal Dexron III fluid, it's always like a mix or universal kind. I drag race and road race along with everyday driving. Any suggestions on best fluid/brand?

I searched lots of forums on T-56 and I worry because some of them say certain brands can wreck things in the T-56. Also the Viper always seemed to have different fluid then the mustang/camaro T-56's.

That's because there are 3 different Dexron III fluids: F, G and H. There are backwards compatible though. Plus GM stopped making III and supporting it 8-9 years ago, so the formula is not exactly the same and not the same between aftermarket manufacturers hence, what might be a small cause of what you read.

That is a new one Dexron III(K) for manuals only.

Granted, it's been 5 years now, but when I put in a new clutch, master and slave cylinders, I bought the trans. fluid from my local Dodge dealer. I seem to remember it being stupid expensive, though.

Dex 4 syn was recommended to me, but Castrol Syntrq is also acceptable, but makes the shifting more notchy.
