Mapping

I have a 97 gts with 3" cat less exhaust. Is it worth to map ignition/fuel to get more horsepower? I was looking a Syke pro flash unit.

If you add headers(I have a set for sale) and get an SCT, you could pickup 40-50 RWHP with a good tune.

Syked unit actually works well from what i'm told by a tuner i used that did both sct and syked. I ended up with an SCT unit, however the syked unit has some quirks if you go boosted and change away from the stock map sensor (pretty much mandatory for boost). You'll have to have an emissions tune with whatever size injectors and a stock map sensor and then your actual tune with the larger map sensor. The larger map sensors for some reason will cause the OBD2 Monitors to never become ready and thus you'll fail emissions tests.

Anyway Just food for thought if you decide to go that route with syked, otherwise its a pretty decent platform supposedly and slightly cheaper than SCT.
