Question will 17"x10" (97 oem style 5-star front wheels) fit on the rear of a 97 GTS viper?

I am considering purchasing 17"x10" oem / factory (1997 style "front" 5-star wheel) to place on the rear of my 1997 with drag radials for the track. With a 17"x10" wheel on the rear my choices are endless. I have 19" HRE wheels on my car and do not have a set of factory 17" wheels to try this trick. Has anyone attempted this? FYI - Brake system on the rear of my viper are factory as well. Will this work?

This is a good idea. Just curious as well. Would this work with the 17x10 front rim on the rear if you have bigger rear brakes? I have the stoptech (st40 i believe) rear brakes.

Unsure of that. You would need to get one to test fit to see

How much power are you running to the wheels? Are you using a set of 4 of these tires? 275 fronts with 345 rears?

About 760tq/620hp. Just the rears. It fills the wheel well nicely. I don't need drag radials on the fronts.

Nice. I'm thinking i'll pick up a set for the rears myself. Im at the same power levels and i'll be putting a 3.55 gear in. The Michelin pilots I have just spin for days with the 3.07.

Thanks for the info.

Im talking about the 345/40/17's, not rims. I had no idea these tires were an option.
