GTS on Gen 1 rims?

Hey all, I don't know why I haven't been successful in finding this, but does anyone have pictures of their GTSs on the three-spoke Gen1 rims? I see a lot of the older cars on Gen2 and Gen3 rims, but never the other way around. The closest thing I could find was a rendering from Grand Theft Auto, so I'd like to get a more realistic idea of what it'd look like.

I don't have any pics, but I do have a set I used for the track extensively a while ago. It looked awful.

I thought those GenI rims looked like shit when they came out. Later I saw some chrome and they looked pretty good. Those flat black ones in the op look pretty good too.

You need one of these to compliment the three spoke wheels....

More for me I guess. I think the three spoke wheels have a playful nostalgia to them. They make the RT/10s look like giant toy cars, and they make enough power to align with how you imagine your toy cars perform as a child.

Does that make sense? I'm working on two hours of sleep right now, but I think I'm making sense.

I don't think the three spoke wheels will look badass by any means on a GTS, but I'd like to see if a set of the grey painted wheels capture that same nostalgia, and how that extra inch of tire affects the overall look.

You should get a new Gen V and put some gold three spokes on there.

Oops! Resurrecting a dead thread, but it's my thread so it's okay, right? If the records don't exist, make new records, right? I put two of my 3-spokes on, and I must say I like the results. There's currently only a 315 on the rear 3spoke, so new (wider) rubber will give it a better stance. Took a few photos for comparison/reference. What do y'all think?

I honestly thought it would look like shit, but those pics aren’t all that bad. Drop the car about 2” and I think I would actually like it.

Lots of folks used Gen1 rims for track duty on their GTSs.

Aesthetically, for sure. The people that side-pipe their GTSs seem to say it sounds a lot worse though--very droney.

I think I might keep the 3-spokes on for a while. They'll get the 345 Toyo Proxes in the rear, which should fill up the wheel well a bit.
