Anyone have pics of brake rotors and calipers on thier viper pre-2002?

I would like to give thanks in advance to you viper guys- you are really driving the aftermarket to the mopar camp in a big way. :thumb:

Thanks Toby- that is awesome- I could have wrote out this long confusing question- but the pic is truly worth the thousand typed words LOL- I was really trying to see the difference in a viper front vs rear brakes - I was wondering, on a machine that is built for racing and using brakes ALOT- how the front to rear bias is handled- it looks like you don't need a whole lot about back eh?

And Plum- never was a dem, just hate Bush LOL

The pre-'02 brake set ups are the hot set ups right now to swapping to mopar muscle cars. I don't know how many guys here that have vipers are also mopar collector types, like Plumcrazy for instance, but you guys that are hot rodding your vipers are participating in a really cool feedback loop- you guys supercharge motors, blow up motors, N2) motors, turbo motors etc, which drives an aftermarket industry by itself, it means more parts for the older car hot rodders too, which expands the market, which benefits you guys with the vipers.

Interesting side note I think I mentioned here before, perhaps on my first post, that I almost bought a used viper- but, I have two small children, and want them to go on long tours with me, and the viper just doesn't have the seats! LOL- though the four door SRT-10 intrigues me......

Great shots guys- what really helps for us is Toby's shot of the rear brakes- there has been alot of debate on how to "balance" the big brake front kits we have been using vs how much brake in back- and the fact that pre-02 use floating calipers in back, fixed up front, and I think the post 02 use fixed in back as well.

I think the next jump in old mopar brake swaps will be for the viper rear calipers pre-92.

Toby asked me in a PM to post the links to the threads dealing with viper and big brakes- so here we go!

The guys, AndyF and Feets have both had featured cars and products in various mopar mags- Feets has a really cool old dual turbo chrysler!

Thanks again- we are trying to figure out if the Calipers, which are made by brembo I believe, is application specific only to vipers. As older mopar drivers, we could care less if the caliper says "viper" on it as long as it bolts up and performs the same! If you look on the thread that I posted from moparts, a guy has posted calipers from an autoparts house in California that look an awful lot like your rear calipers on your viper- for a fraction of the price- and he says they carry the same part number.
