looking for the bigger single fan used on later model gen 2s ...........or how shitty is the aluminium knock off version on theviperstore website?

Looks like the ones on that website are Spal , so, a good brand; but, you would be paying a lot for the mounting shroud and markup and convenience of a drop-in package. I wonder what the CFM & current draw is of the stock single fan system.

I have read that ARD does an upgrade to the single fan set-up with a better fan and relay; but, I think that you have to send them a "core" assembly.

Well, if those numbers are correct (I couldn't confirm his OEM spec references), then it looks like the aftermarket fans referenced on viperstore.com website do not move as much air as the OEM according to their specs.

I was impressed too but then again it's a massive fan. This SPAL is called "3,000CFM" by many vendors but is rated at 2,460 CFM by SPAL:
