Cylinder 7&8 leaner?

Any input on this? I've heard that the intake for gen2 creates a lean condition on these 2 cylinders and have found that they wear out faster also due to increase temps.

Any fixes?

I suppose it's possible but I haven't heard anything like that. The only issue I ever had was my #8 exhaust valve leak but that was because the crank sensor went bad.

So is this a question or something you are experiencing? Lots of folklore out there. Don't confuse the small stock intake manifold volume with any cylinders running "lean"....quite the opposite. They run RICH due to being starved of adequate airflow under certain vacuum/load conditions. Lack of air = running rich....not running lean. At WOT, there is more than enough airflow for all cylinders. The rich/plug fouling condition on the rear cylinders happens when one drives like grandma all the time.

Is the only fix to this a supercharger, thus gaining the larger over stock plenum? Or, is there an option of NA guys?

This guy has obviously done some major work (car is ugly as hell) but prob has a lot of knowledge on this engine.

.28 seconds in start saying gen 1 and 2 had this problem but was fixed for gen 3. I guess the way the wind travels create more on these cylinders and fixes issue with 70 degree throttle adaptor.

You have to be fucking shitting me. That's not an ugly car. It's a bloody tampon abortion of a car. Which that should be enough clue of anything to ignore him.

Comparing that monstrosity to a stocker or even near stocker isn't right.

However, if you look at stock smooth tubes (not the straight aftermarket ones everyone sells) the stock 99-02 ACR smooth tubes have a bend in them just past the half way mark that aligns the air correctly for the throttle bodies. It was the first mod I did.
