Rear brakes, need help

I'm in the middle of doing my rear brakes. On my rear caliper, I took off the two bolts that hold the caliper to the spindle. How do I get the caliper off of the rotor? I thought that once I took these bolts off, the caliper should slide right off, but instead it moves up and down but won't slide off the rotor. What step needs to be done next?

Thanks,
Bill

Looks like you have a 01? Dunno if its the same as my 98 but it sounds like you still need to disconnect the parking brake linkage.

Re: Rear brakes, need help

Just hold pressure against the piston (Twist) to push it in enough to slide it off the rotor. The rotor will wear and develop a small lip on the edge. That's whats keeping the caliper from sliding off.
