4.11 to stock 3.07 gear. wow car feels slow

My previous 1999 viper had 4.11 and my current 2000 acr is 3.07with cat and res delete and when I slam on the gas I feel like the trq is just not the same(rpms dont rise as quick as 4.11). Anyone else experience this. I feel like something is wrong but checked everythihg ans mechanically it has no issues. I feel like the rpms take forever to accelarate between 2-4,000 and makes it seem like 450hp is slow.

It feels like I lost 100hp at low rpms. Lol

3.07 definitely feels lazy compared to a geared Viper. I have 4.11's and love them; feels more quick and nimble.

No shit Sherlock.

0-60mph won't be slower though as you'll save a gear change. Low gears always feel quicker due to more TQ to the wheels, but the extra gear changes even it right back up unless you can power shift like a pro

I believe they all have the 3.07s from 1992-2010. Did the go with 3.55s for the Gen 5s? Anyway, I have several rear chunks of 3.55 and one new set of 3.73s if you're ready to upgrade. PM me.

I thought they eventually went with a 3.33. Maybe GenIV?

I like my 3.73's on my GenIII. They put the power down quick when needed. 3.73's might be a nice replacement for your 3.07's

Exclamation

I have 3.73's on 19" rims gen2

Think this was a good choice and glad I didn't go 4.10, give me some space to grow in the power range without needing to reduce the gear.

Only reason is b/c I'm near the limit of traction all the time, PS2's from late 2012.

What is the top speed reduced to w/ 3.73's? I thought Joh B said 130mph w/ 3.73 and 165mph with 3.55.

Does that sound right?

O.K. thank you fact police.

Restated...

Now I have to be careful when taking off in 1st or cornering in 1st.
B/c I'm at the limit of traction.

With the 3.07 I never worried about spinning the tires, with the 3.73's if I launch to hard on the street it spins. If I pedal the car going around a corner it will get loose.

...
better?

Nope not even close...
I get to 150 pretty damn quick now, much faster than before.

When I was in Mexico I took it up to 175 and let off.
Felt like it was going to start nosing over and needed to shift but it was pulling.

Its my understanding that the cars top speed is actually higher with the 4.10's stock. And faster yet with the 3.73s and bolt-ons.

If your staying stock or under 700 HP, 3.33's are hands down the best of both worlds. Enough traction in the lower gears, a useable sixth gear and you lose minimal top end mph.

Yeah, definitely wrong.

From my understanding, top speed in a stock Gen II is actually achieved in 5th gear.

6th gear has a hypothetical top speed of like 300 mph.
