Anybody know where I can find a cam position sensor for a '97 GTS? Very tough to come by and Dodge has stopped making the part.
Dodge hasn't stopped making the part. The manufacturer that they bought it from has stopped making the part.

I've read that Standard Motor Products is the manufacturer of the part that Dodge used. It is not available from Rock Auto now, or reportedly from any other retailer.
Neither the Viper specific vendors or anyone else have offered up an alternative sensor yet. One would think that there must be something close that could be modified with the old connector and perhaps a mounting adapter if one had an OE type and access to a stockroom of various sensors plus some knowledge and time to figure something out. There are typically only a couple?? of types of the actual sensor.
If you're not going to be part of the solution, you might as well just go to law school.
Guys, there are none online or through any parts seller. Period. I posted on here in hopes of finding someone that might have one or two extra. PartsMonkey, Rockauto, Mopar, Jon B. . . . . it doesn't matter which company you look up, they are out and most of them have been out for months.
Hope in one hand, shit in the other. Which will pile up first?
Agreed, however somebody will get this figured out weather another manufacturer or a fix with another adapted sensor that somebody figures out, I'm just glad mine still works but I would like a backup. There is a guy at my local dodge dealer missing part of his ass after I talked to him this morning, kind of disappointed that u can't get parts for a car that is dodges crown jewel
