Yup. For whoever has the last ones. Boom.

Chuck 98 RT10 June 13th, 2015 09:03 PM

What would you pay for a new one?

dave6666 June 14th, 2015 04:45 AM

Retail.

Found the last 1 in California. Cost me $50.00

What are some symptoms of a cam sensor going out?

dave6666 June 15th, 2015 02:43 PM

Poor running engine combined with an empty sensation in your wallet.

So if by chance we'd need one, our cars are basically bricks until someone remakes them? Getting a for sale ad ready now....

You have to make some kind of adapter, but at least you'd have some hope starting with the right 0-5V harness plug and material of construction. A Dremel grinder, a couple of tubes of JB Weld, a bar of 3003 aluminum, a lathe and some o-rings ought to be enough to get you back in business in a couple of days.

Great minds think alike:
A $35 Gen II/III cam sensor alternative(and maybe Gen Is too)
