don't ever jump your car or anyone elses unless your stuck in the desert in the middle of nowhere, that's asking for problems like your complaining about

I have the (black I think) mopar wires. Those stock? Mine look pretty new so I wasnt sure if those were aftermarket or maybe they were changed recently. Car has 72k miles on it

How so? Battery was dead so I didn't really have a choice. I used a jump box not another vehicle, if that's what youre implying. When I realized the battery was shit I just changed it.

Boom. Those are no-no's. Confirmed PCM fryers. No, not every time, but back to the stuck in the desert and....

Even the "good" plug wires don't always last long. I bought a set of ceramic wires for my next change. After removing a set of $165 wires. And interimly replacing them with another set of $165 wires.

That's $730 in plug wires in just a few years. Sooooooooooooooooooooo, if you're thinking of complaining about maintenance costs right now...

Actually, I've discovered they're good for but a few years. Which is why my next set is the $400 ceramic ones. Let me find those posts... BRB...

Had ABs on mine for about 2 years now with no problems. Did change coils recently to get rid of a miss.

My ab's didn't have any problems either. Until they fell apart when removing them, showed intermittent conductivity, and so on.

I have a perfectly good oem set from my '01 if you are looking for used. I say they are perfectly good based on the fact the bug I was troubleshooting was not affected whatsoever by the replacement set.

Bought a pair of Demon coils from a member here.
Dave's would be good but if you want new, Mopar parts online or they are all over Ebay.

When you do change out plugs/wires, it will probably run even better. Make sure to use the SRT plug. RC12ECC, not the RC12LYC. The ECC is a Superior plug.

I put new RC12ECC plugs in before I sold the car but it does have factory wires on it but they looked fine so I left them be. Car did seem to run better with that plug than the factory type plugs....

So what ended up being the problem?

That's weird, I've had mine on for several years with no issues, they look brand new. Maybe you got a bad set, I'd give Adam a call he is a good guy and I think would stand behind his product. BTW did yours have the heat shield socks on them? Adam gave me a set for my plugs when I bought them, could that have been the issue you think?

Mine looked brand new. I would hesitate to use "looked brand new" as a measure of condition based on it being clear they were in many case fried; completely broken or intermittent contact depending on how you bent the boot to the wire.

Yes, they had 2 ceramic boots per plug, at the plug.

I have no problem with Adam nor the product. Heck, I even know the company that makes them for him. But that does not change the fact that they simply don't last. The set I put on the car while waiting on Dan to build my Ceramic set I don't plan on running very long. You want them after I pull 'em off? The ones that don't have the connectors fried off the wire/boot?
