You suggesting the Starter (when the car cranks/turns over), tells everyone that you have know idea what you're doing. It's been a little since I had my GTS, but I'm sure you should be able to hear the fuel pump turn on when you turn the key to the run position. I can definitely hear it in my Gen III

If it cranks and won't start, fuel or spark is your problem (I doubt it's your plugs). I've never had to in a newer vehicle, but in my old muscle cars you can spray a little shot of starting fluid to help out. Someone will post if that is OK to do or Not

Just start small and work your way up. You know it's not the starter because it's cranking, so turn the ignition on and listen for the pump, if it's dead silent then that's your issue. Start by checking the pump relay to see if it needs to be replaced. If you replace it and the issue persists than it's probably the pump itself. You can use an Ohm meter to check where its not getting power. Then pull a few plugs and see if they're soaked, if so, do as Dave suggested to dry them out or just replace them and start fresh.

I would just do the crank at WOT. All you need is the keys lol. Just be sure to mash the pedal 100% and let it crank for a while. Don't play with the has at all. Just keep it mashed.

Yes. Bouncing it off of red line continuously for 10 to 15 minutes is like an engine spa day

Fuel pump.

And if your new battery goes dead within a couple days, you have a current draw problem somewhere... most likely the hood switch or the hatch switch... it's fairly common.

Minus the 15 minutes part, that's partially true as what happened to Tony Armor when racing Norms Motor-only RT back in Bradenton. Tony missed a shift causing the car to hit the limiter really hard and the thick black smoke you see coming out was the engine getting a nice cleaning as described to me by GG at the time.

FF to the 2 min mark to see the race. FYI Scott in the red RT takes the win with a 10.40 having also missed a shift and having to get back into it.

I imagine what has happened is your security system has put it in lock down mode, very annoying as it happened to me. You need to talk to Steve Fess on the VOA/VCA, or shoot me a PM and I'll give you his number, he can walk you through the reset procedure.

At WOT when cranking a modern FI car cuts fuel. I am not messing with you.

It's how you deal with a flooded FI car.

If u read I said the pump is kicking on. I doubt it's fuel. And sorry I'm not a mechanic mr. Perfect.

I'll try the WOT trick and see what that does.

Sorry, but this is Viper Alley. We DO NOT know what you mean unless it is explicitly detailed and written in somewhat improper English.

Yes this is true, or at least it was on a ford.

<0.5 fucking with you>
If your cranking and it won't turn over your flywheel is missing...
</0.5>

<1.0>
I think your alignment is off or the parking brake is stuck.
</1.0>

Just do the battery and check for spark... the other option is to use a little bit (serious here) of starting fluid. Open the throttle bodies by hand put a good shot of ether both sides a full second.

Then immediately crank it no throttle until it starts (less then 15 seconds).

it will hiccup at lest. If it doesn't I'd be very surprised.
