My 97 gts has these small fans mounted in both fender wells. Half of them work and was gonna replace the others but I cant seem to find any info on them. Are these factory or did someone add these to the car? Here is a pic of them

Holy shit! I've never thought about building my engine bay the same way I built my computer tower case and home theater cabinet, with additional fans!

Remove power steering cap and drive it until it catches fire and cleanse that abomination from the Earth?

Which way do they blow? Who did u buy the car from? Did they track it? You can rivet in a piece of thin plastic to cover the holes.

Also, if you're seeing a lot of oil and crud build up, you might want to reconnect/fix these:

Yes it was a track car early on in its life. Talked to the second owner the other day cause I was trying to find out what all is done to the car and he said it has a Hennessey package on it. I called Hennessey and gave them the vin but they said their records only go back to 2012. All of the mods on the car were done in early 2000's. The car used to have 5 point harnesses in it and a huge wing on the back. Also has upgraded calipers on it and a wilwood valve mounted into the brake lines to adjust the pressure I assume.

Lol. That's what I was working on when I figured I'd ask about the fans. Also changing the valve cover gaskets.

are the fans only on that side, or are they on both sides? i am guessing they were used to pull heat out of the engine bay.

Mods of that caliber seemed to be reported on Texas cars more than any other state for some reason. Hmmmmm.

Those CPU fans seem like they are bringing in air? Maybe one side brings in air and the other side sucks it out. lol
