The obligation to return an item at your expense is not unusual. My bank has that same policy regarding CC transactions if you're going to file a dispute.

Nah, I'm just happy to see someone (srtoad4) do a proper back to back test of the benefits of just headers alone. If during your 17K posts of expertise you didn't see this, then my comment stating Srtoad4 may be the the first person to properly test this is valid

What a bummer. .I just read the whole thread n is pretty shitty
I would b pretty upset.... I used to try to get the best bargains when I had f body's then I moved on to corvettes n started being a bit more picky about the parts going into my vette ...
Now that I have the viper there's no way I would risk getting some shitty ass parts. .:*(

Little Update:

Seller on Ebay was willing to give me $50 back. I told him he's out of his [email protected]#*&$ mind and filed a PayPal claim. PayPal agreed to refund me, but I had to ship them back to the Ebay seller. Done, and cost me $35 via FedEx. Got the refund from PayPal yesterday.

Last week I messaged user "Steelskeet" to see if he still wanted to sell his TNT 5-1 headers. We agreed on a price, and he shipped them to me today. They actually cost me about $50 less than the Ebay headers.

I will have them on Thursday.

Will also be having these coated in black ceramic, and hopefully installing sometime in the next week or two.

Will keep updating this thread with the results of the TNT headers.

TNT headers came in yesterday, can't wait to install them! Assembled them together to make sure it all lines up:

They've got some scrapes and scuffs (as used headers would), but they are already ceramic coated from a while back so I might just leave them as-is.

Bolt orientation is correct this time (LOL) (top left / bottom right) so we should be good to go

Yup, the HMS/TNT/SVS headers are all slip-fit. These are the TNT / HMS headers, claimed to be the biggest HP adding headers out there. Previous owner had them on his ROE car, and was sad to let them go when he went TT.

So excited to get these on and post some dyno results.

I take it you had to eat the money you spent getting the Maximizer headers coated?

Yeah, it was $200..you live and you learn..will never be the "guinea pig" for Chinese junk again. Happened twice now (last time with Megan Racing lowering springs for my E60 M5). They claimed they fit all 5 series including M5, but I had to prove to them that M5 suspension is completely different than all other 5 series, and they kept chewing up my strut tower hats, along with other parts.

They ended up sending me a free set of their coilovers for all the trouble I went through. They no longer claim the springs fit M5's lol.

I posted this in the other exhaust thread.

My gen 3 picked up 13 rwhp with a set of M&M tri y headers by themselves. I already had no cats and 3" all the way with Borla's. I dynoed it before and after.

Was thinking about doing it myself, as the prior "install" cost me $400 and I had to eat the cost all for nothing.

Did a ton of research on installing the slip-fit 5-1 headers (SVS/HMS/TNT/B&B) and everyone says they're real easy. I saw you mentioned it took you a while, what did you have trouble with exactly?

I have TNT headers on my Roe and would never sell them. There was a back to back on a big all motor car. Balengers vs. HMS. The 5 into 1 picked up almost 40 at the higher RPM. The theory was that the pickle in the Balangers work good on bolt-on cars, but when a lot more air is flowing, the pickle becomes a problem.

^ exactly

These are my old headers that I used with my Roe before I went TT. Several of the Roe guys told me the 5 into 1 without the pickle was the way to go. I wasn't too sure about selling them and never listed them. They will be missed but I am glad someone will appreciate them.

Just getting everything lined up and slipped into place. Mine also both touched the frame on both driver and passenger side, which resulted in the install of some Woodhouse mounts, engine and trans. Certainly was not difficult, just more time consuming than the MnM headers I put on my GTS.
