I know when I posted my pre-sale thread forever ago, my car had yet to be fully tuned. Well, two weeks ago I took the car out to Jeff at Central Texas Performance for a handful of maintenance items (full fluid swaps, fuel pump swap) and a dyno tune. There is a big gap in the tuning market in central Texas and Jeff and his boys did not disappoint.
On to the nitty-gritty: My car has JM Stage II CNC-ported heads with Jesels, Accufab 70mm TBs, a Greg Good-spec Comp Cam, B&B headers and a 3" Corsa with no cats. Keeping my AF numbers extremely fat, he was able to squeeze out 561hp and 589tq, both numbers about 10-20 above what I was told to expect from comparable cars. The motor is healthy as can be, and they were floored that it had 86k on the clock.
They straightened out the idle, killed the hanging idle when coasting to a stop and all but isolated the throttle surge at certain RPMs. It's night and day and it's a blast to drive.
I didn't participate at the VOA Bucket List thing (designed a mean motherfuckin' shirt though) but drove out with a friend. Saw a Gen. IV silver/blue and decided to snap a picture next to it...first time I've seen one in person. Some of you may have already seen these on the Book of Faces.
