The Aztek seems to show up on a lot of lists. It will somehow live forever in Infamy.

They said gas prices killed the H2. LOL, no, it's because they ran out of idiots that bought the line that a 1/2 ton suv chassis with a boxy body on it had military roots too.

1/2 ton suv with boxy body = 1/2 ton suv

I have to say I agree with the Miata being on the list. It changed the idea of what a sports car could be... low on horse power, low on sexiness, high on fun and a blast on the track. Spec Miata is the single largest racing series in the world along with the MX-5 Cup. Spec Miata is also one of the most competitive racing in the world.

sorry, I understand your premise of the miata being a hell of a fun little car, but in that case, why isn't the corvette, camaro, challenger, SRT neons, 350z, 370z, S2000, Supra, NSX etc in that list.....btw, that is just a list of obtainable fun cars that I would say were more iconic than the miata. hell a crown victoria is more iconic in my mind than a miata.

I didn't say that it was iconic because it was fun. The corvette, Camaro, etc were all round before the last 25 years and didn't change the industry after initial entry.

The Miata was an underpowered, unsexy, little 4 banger that had a trick under it's sleeve... it had probably the best handling of almost any car in the early 90's. It's reliability is legendary with a bulletproof 1.6/1.8L and was offered in a 5 speed manual and optional LSD rear diff. Straight to the track they went and cost under 10k brand spankin new.

Don't get me wrong, I love Corvettes, Camaro's, Z cars, etc...

I have to say the NSX have a few points of their own and could be argued to be on the list. The supra was introduced in the 70's I think? Too old to be on this list. Most of the cars you mentioned were introduced prior to 25 years ago...

Yes, very true. But they are IMO newer reiterations of what the Miata was. They really didn't change anything from what I can tell in the car industry. I think the Honda S2000 is a much better car to use as your point. And with that I would have to say I don't really know. Perhaps the S2000 could be on the list as well with it's high revving engine and decent hp/weight ratio it has more balls than the Miata for sure.

Aztek?!!!! Why does this thing always keep coming up on these lists? Isn't this vehicle the reason for Pontiac's demise? LOL.

Foxbody Mustang is surely more "iconic" than the '05-'09 Mustang.

Well, at least we don't all have to agree with these seemingly endless "Top 10" lists.

The foxbody came out in 79 right? That's older than 25 years. The list comprise vehicles that were first released in the last 25 years.
