No interior or tail lights

I thought I would post this up to see if this is a common problem. The gauge lights and tail lights on my car are out. The 15 amp parking lamp fuse blows as soon as I replace it and turn the lights on so obviously it is grounding out somewhere. Is this a common issue? I read something about the dimmer switch going bad but didn't know if it would cause both issues. Just trying to eliminate some troubleshooting time.

Check the radio wiring, I've seen hack jobs that have the same affect.

The factory radio is designed to light up whenever you turn the headlights. In that harness will be a wire that will show the ground if the lights are off.
