Just dynoed my 00 GTS.. Surprised by results

Well guys, I bought my car with a Corsa CB on it. Thats it.

Setup now is as follows:

2000 GTS, Red/Black because fuck you its the fastest color. ;-)

- S&B Filters
- Smooth Tubes
- MSD wires with Bosch plugs
- Stock tune
- No cats w/CEL lol
- Corsa Cat back
- 19's up front with 20's out back wrapped in Invos
- And Rotella T oil because I fucking love the stuff lol

My question is... Is this the norm for these additions? Seems to me this thing might have some 1.7s or a cam to jump up that high for such little mods. I'm about to pull the valve covers off and see whats what here soon. But I figured asking you guys and sharing with the alley community would help.

Mustang Dyno results:

Most I've ever seen with those mods to a creampuff on a Mustang dyno.
Congrats.

ooooooohh, those rims look nice on that car.. More pics please.

Very good numbers!!

gizmo5 September 15th, 2013 12:13 AM

Also, we had 2 vettes, SC mustang and a 13 GT500 and they all made the expected numbers so the dyno isnt off or anything. I was just assuming that it would make about 420/450 and was surprised at the 440/470. Makes me curious...

Next addition will be gears and I'm in the fence between 3:55 or 3:73

Really nice numbers.

elevatorgts September 15th, 2013 07:59 AM

Morning Gents, my 2001 bone stock GTS pulled 421 ... 441 is excellent for a few mods.
Tuned vipers MIGHT add anywhere 8 to15 hp on the top in stock forum. But add huge driveability advantages though out the rpm band

My '01 with tubes filters Belangers h/f cats 3" side exhaust mail order tune did 446 on a Dynocom at their plant. Which btw they said lots of dynos get pretty inaccurate at Viper hp range. Anyway, regardless of their sales pitch / dissing the competition, I for one have never been impressed that the mods I had at that time were worth much on the dyno without further work like heads or cam.

In summary, your numbers seem pretty normal and expected.

Signed, red Viper with WHITE stripes. Faster without question than black stripes

Yeah that's definitely a sales pitch lol. The MD the shop has is the upgraded model with the extra goodies. It's rated for 2500hp and 250mph.

I'm coming out of a mid 700whp/mid500wtq centri stang and I gotta be honest. This viper is so much more fun to drive. The NA aspect is just smiles all day for me, and with the relatively stock form of this thing, just letting it breath, it woke up a bit. I'm stoked with the baseline, now it's time for other add ons... :)

Great numbers! Defintely high for the mods....

Hyph September 15th, 2013 11:08 AM

My GTS dyno'd at 434/485 with a magnaflow exhaust, smooth tubes w/ filters, and cat delete.

Numbers look about right.

ultradriver10000 September 15th, 2013 05:30 PM
