I was told more miles than that to seat the rings.

Yep I was told 500 miles from arrow racing with the car never sitting a a set rpm or load for a long time, constantly vary your rpm and speed. Then I've heard old school racers say break it in how you drive it. I'd go with arrow recommendations

First thing I thought of when reading your post is Valve Seals.. Does it smoke on first startup in the morning or when parked for a bit and then restated? or is it only on decal?
Tried it today, fired it up after sitting over night then after a few hrs...no smoke. Seems to only do it on deceleration.

Wasn't expecting for it to smoke like it has so far, so I parked it to try and figure out the problem. I'll start driving it again and give the rings a chance. I'll keep doing it at night though, last thing I need is for someone to call in a blue and white sports car smoking out the highway. lol...

Two things, 1 is make SURE 10)% the oil is level. The pans on the Vipers suck being so flat that any slight incline or decline will throw the oil level of 1-2 quarts. I was a victim o this issue myself back in the day and was like WTF. Secondly, I did not see 320 miles so that is not a lot and give it a hair more time before you go nuts troubleshooting but if you are only able to drive it at night well that is really bad my friend and time will only mask the issue.

Thanks for the tips, we'll just have to let it develop and see. I can drive it around no problem in the day time (no smoke at start up, idle, or during acceleration). I would just have to pop it out of gear every time I slow down, and that's no fun! From what I understand, deceleration under load is when the most force is applied to the rings. That's exactly what I want to be doing without getting an inspection ticket from the cops. So the night will be my friend until hopefully the rings get settled in.

Realy, make sure the car is LEVEL 100%, even a 10% incline or decline driveway can throw the oil level off 2 quarts and this will show this exact symptom-ask me how I know and I about shit because I did not realize the Viper is the most sensitive car out there I ever saw checking oil and was wondering why my GEN II was smoking after I changed the oil and saw it was low because of the slight incline and added 2 additional quarts never thinking for a second that could be possible.

Wow...didn't realize the viper v10 is that sensitive. Thanks for reiterating that point, I'll make sure to follow your advice.
