Alright guys, so the time has come... I got started on my big single system.
Please, if you have anything negative to say about my decision to go single.. please keep it out of this thread... as everyone has there own preferences... i have my own. This thread is strictly for the build process and for everyone to see the relults from start to finish. This will take probably from now to next spring.. as i want to ensure the build looks as GOOD and professional as possible, and that everything is safe and sturdy of course.
I went with the Precision 106 mm / 1.32 A/R turbo... and im getting a custom bell air to air intercooler made (3.5 " thick / 28" long / 12" high) to keep the AITs down. there will be tons of fabricating... so if you have a weak heart when it comes to people hacking up a viper!! stay out of this thread haha!
I need some people to chime in as I do not know what injectors or BOV/Wastegate to go with... I have the BOSCH Pigtails already installed, but im shooting for more power then i had with the TT system... and i sold my old set becaue they were at 98 % duty cycle (bosch high z 1000 ccs and E85).
This is gonna be fun!!!
I already cut out the passenger side air box and removed all blower fan and a/c and heater air system. what a PITA!!! wow. anyways.. im having a professional welder come and plate weld the hole while keeping as much space as i can for this mammoth turbo.
As you can see the difference below.. the turbo on the left is a precision 76/75
>
after the turbo eats my engine.. ill have RSI build me a solid block :P

Ten 160# injectors would be enough for over 2000 horsepower (gasoline). They're readily available too.
A couple turbocharged outlaw 10.5 cars I've worked with (1800+ hp) controlled boost just fine with ONE 60mm Tial wastegate; but you'll need to make sure plumbing is run efficiently. A pair of smaller 40-ish gates would also work.
If the motor pops it'll probably take the new turbo with it (bearing material). I would at least drop the pan and replace the bearings while you're in the build mode.
It takes some balls to cut up a viper like you have.
Scotty. I told you to swap me cars. My car had that AC box cut out already and in would have taken your car as it was when it was TT'd. I even already had a forged motor for you.
If you want some input from someone who has already done what you are doing let me know. I know Orlando and he's a great guy. He can build you all the hot side piping as he already has the template from his big single T6 turbo car.
EDIT: Orlando's big single turbo car sounds SOOOOO good. It is a open exhaust but isn't crazy loud.

racepartssoulutions.com is where i buy all my turbo parts. their jgs bov is very nice and flows a lot! they have another 50mm for $100 thats a very nice piece too. I run 2 of them on my twin setup. you can set it up with 2 if you feel you need to. or they have a sick 104 mm bov! you wont need 2 of those!
