Clutch help..

Saga of my clutch/trans.

May of this year my clutch sinks to the ground. pumping the clutch gets to pressure. wont go into any gear.
I can leave the car off and put it in gear and it would go.

My mechanic changes the clutch master slave... this helps.

June of this year... clutch becomes soft.. then does not go into gear... pumping the clutch hleps it get into gear.

my mechanic changes the master cylinder.... this helps... but had play in the clutch pedal.. about "3-4 inches...

July (today).. driving normally and get to a stop light.. try to put it into gear... would not go. turned the car off and try to put it in gear while off.. would not go.

finall gave it some muscle and got it into gear and limped the car home.

what could be the cause.... ?? bled fine... 22k on the car.

It's a new mopar slave.. But I guess it could be bad.

In the last year or so I've read of more than a few GM guys who swapped T56 slaves only to have the new ones fail shortly after (sounds like a bad run). I'm not sure if this would affect the Viper because the Viper slave is quite different though.

Another issue could be slave clearance, sometimes they need shimmed to make sure they get good contact with the pressure plate. You need the slave to be a certain distance from the PP.

Either way this sounds like your hydraulic system still isn't fixed, sorry

It does still sound like a hydraulic issue (air in line or bad cylinders). Dirty fluid can also cause problems. And it's probably a good idea to replace the clutch itself.
