New Viper Classified: 2006 Dodge Viper First Edition Track/DE/Street Prepped

A new Classified Ad has been posted to the Vipers For Sale section:

Description: Working 60+ hours a week and have not had a weekend to get out almost since I bought the car. Not overly modified but a really good start for someone who wants to build a boosted car or wants something ready to track. You could sell all the carbon and rear end out of it and be into a Gen III coupe for almost 40K. Its a Gen III so super easy to modify and parts are available from all the major sources unlike the Gv IV cars.

This is NOT a cream-puff viper, it will fart and burp in church, it is extremely loud with the race exhaust and the LSD will pop in turns. Plus the gearing it is a lot more aggressive then your normal viper. The LSD and aero give the car a lot higher limit of grip but significantly less margin or error. It will spin tires in 1st - 3rd with ease if you have no restraint.

It has been tracked and used for DE events. It is in really good shape cosmetically and perfect mechanical shape but it has 35K miles and it has not been a show queen. The price reflects the fact that it has been tracked. Effectively your getting all the extra bits for free and 3K or so off what the dealers are asking for cars with more miles and unknown histories
.
Specifics

2006 First Edition Coupe. 177/200
35,400 miles.
carbon fiber ACR-X "VIPAIR" rear wing
carbon fiber ACR-X "VIPAIR" upper canards
carbon fiber ACR "VIPAIR" lower canards
carbon fiber ACR "VIPAIR" front lip
O.S. Giken LSD
CRYO treated 7/16 bolt 3.55 rear gears.
Legal 6 point harnesses for driver.
Upgraded stereo of some ilk, head-unit, door speakers (alpine)
K&N Intake
Corsa Race Exhaust (I think)
DC70 F/R set / + Aggressive metallic street pads (On Car)
Motul brake/clutch fluid
New motor at 17K miles done by Dan Craigen at DC
New Clutch at 17K Miles
New flywheel at 17k Miles
New tires ~4K miles ago OEM Runflats. (They have one DE event one them)
Flat Black powdercoated 5 spoke wheels.

Gen IV ACR swinging oil pan at 17K miles (No longer on car)
3 Adjustment External Motons (No longer on car)
stoptech rotors (No longer on car)

This car was tracked 10-12 times before the first motor blew from starved bearings. Then used for 5 DE events on brand new motor with the swinging oil pan to eliminate the oil starvation issues when running slicks.

Known issues

Currently nothing mechanically wrong with the car. Cosmically It has some 4 nicks in the paint that have been touched up but the front bumper like all vipers is sandblasted a bit. A few small scratches here and there, the drivers seat has belt rash on the lower bolster due to the 6 point harnesses. Under the nose has the usual scratches from living in SoCal.

Title is CLEAN, though I have a few K left on the loan to keep something on my credit.

Open to a trade for a Gen I/II corvette, Decent brass era classic Packard/Cadillac, 550 spyder replica or Daytona replica. highboy hot rod with a flathead, Or 360 Spyder in manual with daytonas and under 50K miles with clean service history. Cash up or down depending on the car of course.

Would really be interested in a 330GT or similar setup for time trials.

Price: $47500
