Viper V10 with BB V8 sound...

Provided the idle was a little smoother, if you could get the car version to sound something like this ILMOR viper V10 setup by Boostpower, you'd have the meanest sounding V10 in history IMO

Turn your volume/bass up...

Theres a guy in my area I've seen/heard with twin ilmors, think it was a 38' Donzi, sounded insane and unique over all the blown V8 boats. I've seen it come out the Hillsboro inlet and another north of here. Hilarious thing, the V10s get much better mileage (more efficient fuel burn) and way more reliable then V8s (you can go longer on maintence and especially rebuild hours). Friends have Chief engines (here in Lauderdale) in their Cig, was there when they dyno'd and paid....jeezus $$$$$$ lol, mouth dropped when I saw the price that they didn't even bat an eye to lol.

There's a few different versions ranging from 625-725hp. Some use a Gen3 platform and the higher HP packages use a Gen4 platform. At one point they were working on a TT version but kept melting pistons so they decided to go another route and enter the "525 market" in reference to Mercury's very popular 525 N/A package based off a Chevy 502 block.

Guy I know manufactures a 26' cat with that Mercury 525. Boat was the fastest single 525-powered boat Hot Boat magazine had ever tested as of 2007. Went 97 mph, which is fast for a single n/a big block. I still like the sound better than the V10.
