1/8 mile racing with a TT 6-Speed Car

Hi guys,

I was wondering if any of you guys spent any amount of time racing 1/8 mile??

Out local 1/4 track is now gone and we have an 1/8 mile. I've been told that running my car and to be competitive in the 1/8 mile is a waste of time, especially since I am running a 6 speed and fairly big turbo's (PTE 7175's)

I do not plan on launching hard (anti-lag) as I don't want half of the car to spill over the track.

Car is on currently on pump gas and drag radials making over 900 RWHP on a Dyno Dynamics dyno.

All input is appreciated.

Shaun

You clearly know you don't have the ideal setup to be competitive in 1/8 racing. That doesn't mean you can't have fun even though your car will start running like a rocket just as you have to get on the brakes.

Yeah, the intention of my car was to run hard on the highways and 1/4 mile. I'll probably take the car out and just practice my launching and have a bit of fun with it. I expect to get ran down by pretty much everything there! Most of the cars running are geared tin cans with an auto specifically built for the 1/8th. LOL!

I will just trailer it out of province to make some serious 1/4 test hits. I will be flying in Frank and we are going to dial in the car with the AEM as much as possible.

Stock ratio 3.07's as this was perfect for 1/4 mile passes.

Quaife differential and Mark Williams shafts.

No faceplating this T56. I try to use this car on a daily basis in the summers. Nothing like running errands in a 1000+ HP street car.
