TT Viper at the Track

[email protected] May 6th, 2014 09:08 AM

Nice find, thanks for posting!

We were planning on making a nice post about this but have been slammed here at the shop. That's one of our Plug and Play AEM Infinity systems controlling that car that I went over to Bahrain and installed and tuned in a quick trip. We've been doing remote track support since then with the car going quicker every pass!

Would you believe that's a 67mm combination? :) He is a great customer of ours and we're very proud to be a part of the team on that project.

forexx4 May 6th, 2014 09:16 AM

Damn. That thing moves!

Nice work, Nth.

Unorthodox May 6th, 2014 09:46 AM

That's badass!

Aaron, is that the car you guys brought to TI?

Michael

utahviper May 6th, 2014 10:03 AM

I believe that is a different car. The one at ti was a seq shift.

Nice driving! Making an 8 second pass in a six speed viper is not easy and not many have done it! Congrats to all involved.

Fast md May 6th, 2014 11:05 AM

WOW , that 's a nice pass , Congrats!!!!

Congrats to all @ Nth Moto!

Nice to see 168 MPH with a pair of 67's!

mbccenter May 6th, 2014 12:43 PM

Way to go guys. That Infinity box with your tuning is a deadly combination.

Amar May 6th, 2014 02:12 PM

Gorgeous car and runs strong! Badass.

1fast400 May 6th, 2014 02:18 PM

The car has another .10 in it if it doesn't roll through the lights.

Rsi97gts May 12th, 2014 09:49 PM

What axles are in this car?

Buddha May 12th, 2014 09:57 PM

Is that a Hennessey front bumper?
Killer run!

Tiago May 12th, 2014 10:32 PM

great run!

The Former PFR May 13th, 2014 12:12 AM

Car sure does get out of the hole! I freaking love the 67mm turbos available these days.

Viper4Christ May 13th, 2014 03:01 AM

Not to derail but this is big build car running the sequential trans at TI last month.

Twin Turbo Viper by Nth Moto Texas Invitational Testing - YouTube

Two different cars. But that Nth Moto shop car is a work of art.

Aaron, how much power is that middle-eastern car putting down with 67s?

Tony

Thank you very much for the comment Tony. Hope we'll get some time to put up some final build pictures of the TI car soon.

Our customer with the car in Bahrain that ran 8.8 asked for privacy about the dyno numbers. We can say it's probably putting down a lot less than people think.

Right, two different cars (other one has a Hennessey fascia) and both putting down some impressive numbers. With some more test and tune session I'm sure the shop car can edge into the TT Lambo territory and give them a run for their 3 times the cost money. :D

[email protected] May 14th, 2014 07:50 AM

We noticed "shop car" has been mentioned a few times and wanted to clarify the car we went to TI with is entirely a customer owned project.

We have some incredible plans for the blue Viper in Bahrain so next race season should be really exciting!

Thanks again for all the kind words guys! Everyone at the shop is working their tails off and it makes everyone smile when these really nice comments get passed along.

ryesZ May 14th, 2014 10:29 PM

Yes I purchased the car as number 24/24 Hennessey venom 1000, and then I rebuilt the whole car.....

Is the exterior the standard blue?

brn-venom May 15th, 2014 12:00 PM

Thank you all for the compliments.. The car has a lot of little custom fabrication done to help the 67mm do their job.
I had done one more pass where the car left the line with a 1.40 60' but my traction control went crazy as my wheels were spinning in the tire ( will have to bead lock the wheels) the car would've run an 8.5-8.6 on that run at around 170+mph.
The car has got a nice power curve with the smaller turbos thus helping it sprint and pick up a lot of speed, car hits 200 mph quite fast.

Honestly I'm not even sure the power we were making at the track as I hadn't dynod the car at that boost level....but it's up there

brn-venom May 15th, 2014 12:10 PM

The aem infinity is the by far the best investment I've made on the car, from a drivability and as an insurance on my engine.

Yes it is gts blue...... That YouTube clip was when my car was a tuned henessey venom 1000 2.5 years ago.... I've literally changed everything mechanical in the car...

Could you post a dyno curve at the power level you dyno at?

steelskeet May 15th, 2014 03:50 PM

I actually like the front fascia, but just about everything else from Hennessy I cant stand.

Me too.. That's why the fascia is the only thing I left on the car... My car had the chrome Hennessey venom wheels and the giant venom wing, got rid of it all

FLATOUT May 16th, 2014 06:48 AM

Looks great! Wonderful job on this build guys!
