Re: C6 Z06 numbers..............
Soon as the remapping tools are out for the LS7 you'll see 500+rwhp with nothing more than headers/cold air and a tune. You can count on it.
If DC gave us a V10 like the LS7 - with titanium rods, dry sump etc - you'd have a 7000rpm 500 cube motor that would last 100,000 miles treated properly, and make considerably more power

Gordon to test drive a 'Vette for TV: Jeff Gordon gets behind the wheel of the new Chevrolet Corvette Z06 at Road Atlanta with SPEED Channel’s popular “Test Drive” program and host Tommy Kendall on Oct. 22 at 6:00pm/et. “I had never been to Road Atlanta and I got the opportunity to drive one of the best Corvettes they’ve ever brought out,” Gordon said on SPEED’s “NASCAR This Morning.” “(The Z06) has a lot of power, handles fantastic and looks great -- I had a blast.” Footage was also shot at the famed Le Mans road course in France with Corvette factory driver Johnny O’Connell.

1.8X on street tires is VERY good. That's definitely not an average driver behind the wheel. I bet a stock C6 Z is a sub-11.50 car with the right driver behind the wheel. Pretty sick for a production car.

Here are someone's first 1/4 times. From what I gather he's not really a pro either.

Re: C6 Z06 numbers..............
Here's the C&D published numbers for each gear:
Gear Speed in Gears
I 59 mph (7000 rpm)
II 88 mph (7000 rpm)
III 121 mph (7000 rpm)
IV 157 mph (7000 rpm)
V 198 mph (6500 rpm)
VI 160 mph (3600 rpm)
157mph in 4th gear (damn near 160) is pretty impressive. Should be a pretty good runner on the top end.

I think it's either a noise suppression technique when at low rpms or idle, or it could be used to increase back pressure in the exhaust at low rpms.

Re: C6 Z06 numbers..............
Well I love Vettes.. Still have my Lingenfelter 427 for now but it may be a new SRT/10 next week. Anyway... Wouldn't mind getting all the local tuners together and seeing these cars stock and not on many different dynos to see the results. I know when my friend was building bikes for an AMA team the stock bikes could very up to 10hp. I would be cool to see how consistant several of these cars would be with and without mods on different dynos.

Damn. Sounds like the Z responds to exhaust mods like the Gen II cars did. Awesome results. How does the car sound?

C6 Z06 numbers..............
443rwhp, 412rwtq. Stock with 50 miles on it.
Adding a set of headers with cats yielded 40rwhp and 50rwtq.
No tuning, no other changes, not even an intake.
