cost of ownership vs F150.

There are at least 2.5 million pick ups sold in the U.S. annually. Tesla is massively successful with 200k a year of that.

Uncle Paul Crazy thing is that the high performance version is quicker than a Viper and handles like a sports car.

Will not have the ultra high speed capability of our beloved Vipers, but certainly a thrill ride.

Priced much less that other EVs, as well as many gassers.

Strange styling will get more looks than a Lambo...but not as much admiration.

It has an air suspension that lowers the rear when you extend the ramp. It also lowers the whole truck on the highway for better handling and cornering.

The whole series has a 3500 lb bed payload rating. F150? 2000 lb.

The compressor in the air suspension can be used to run your air tools.

Was told that is huge in California as it is supposed to mimic the look of a baja truck.

Also...what does anyone think is going to happen when you start to tow with an electric pickup to the range?

^This.

I don't know what I was expecting to see with a 'Musk' pickup truck, but that triangle'd alien spaceship looking thing, I was not.

The above render is decent looking.

Refundable $100 deposits on a new pickup truck aren't much of a commitment.

My wife and I are driving the Model 3s we put deposits on when it was announced. They have sold more than twice as many Model 3s as they took deposits on in the first 2 days.

20 mill of capital isn't much money to a car company, Model 3 deposits were $1,000 each.

1fast400 He has over 200k deposits at 100 bucks each. Easy way to raise some capital.

TrackAire Jesus....Tesla's new Cybertruck looks like a Honda Ridgeline raped an DeLorean and this is the offspring.

If this is suppose to be a truck you can work out of, how do you reach anything in the bed from the side? You have essentially no visibility looking over either shoulder because of the high angled sides. 14000 lb towing capacity....yup, if you want a range of 90 miles. Personally I doubt it will every be rated to tow 14k.

They could have made something that would have really worked and sold well because there is a market for an all EV pickup.
What a waste of engineering time and resources.

Actually Ford took a regular F150 and made it electric. Way too polarizing what musk did...looks like a door stop.

v10enomous I'm filing a lawsuit against Tesla because I drew that Truck as a concept when I was in first grade in 1965.
