Very, very nice. Although I never did like the headlights on the 500. Otherwise the 68/69 Chargers are still my favorite Mopar body style outside of the Viper. While I dig the miles and color on the Charger above (black is my fave), here is a Charger that is pretty sweet that I have watched get relisted a few times over the past couple months:

Love the "split" look of the '68 interiors, and this one is pretty damn pristine with low miles. Just not as low as that 500. :thumb:

Nice find Craig!

Damn that's a unique car!!! I've never seen a silver/blue car before and I love oddball combinations. Silver is a color that wasn't common enough back then. I'll agree with you that the 68-70 charger is the best mopar bodystyle save for the Viper.

With only 181 miles on the car, I wonder why did it need to be repainted (top & bottom) & the engine rebuilt? Over the years, I've seen quite a few unrestored cars with more miles and original paint, that may have a few blemishes, but still look great after all these years. Beautiful car indeed, but I think there's more to the story.

That silver '68 looks great from the outside, but that blue interior sure looks awful.

My brother owned one of those back in the 80's. He sold it for only a few thousand dollars. It was a original #'s matching Charger 500. His was a 440 with floor shift auto. He kicks himself every time he thinks about how much they are worth today. I remember how much fun it was to do burn outs in the driveway with it.

I woulda left it as it was as well. As a survivor car it may not have been as pretty but worth even more.

Re: holy shiiiiiiite

I've heard from a few people who know a little about that black car, and it appears that it was a race car at one time, that explains the low miles and need for a repaint.

It also sounds like the original engine is long gone, and the one in the car now had the VIN restamped to look like it is #'s matching.

Re: holy shiiiiiiite

Outstanding! Charger 500 tends to be forgotten in the mania over the later winged Mopars. I've always thought there's something cool and subtle about the 500. I'd take it if I had the requisite moutains of cash.
