Here's my best run in my 05' E55. It's the fastest (although NOTHING close to Viper territory) street legal Mercedes run in the US that I am aware of. It was at Atco last month, the 10 second camaro next to me makes me look like a 16 second car: 11.25 @ 129.45 in Atco, NJ
Here is a run up to 190 this past Friday night. WARNING: Take dramamine at least 30 minutes prior to viewing. It gets VERY SHAKY above 165.
I gotta give props to the Merc. engines. Those V8 SC and V12 TT are something else.... The times they run in ++4000 lbs tanks are amazing! IMO, they are a bit underrated from the factory. Anyone have any stock dyno numbers? Imagine these motors in a 3400 pound Viper... Especially the TT V12...
Wow great runs!!! what modifications have you done to that car? It is the fastest E55 I have seen.
Thanks guys, the props are much appreciated. Hearing that from Gary (whose video of the motorcycle kill everyone has seen) is cool.
Kleemann Stage 2 (Headers, Pulley, ECU, K&N Air Filters)
BF DR's on the record run but have now switched to MT SR's on CCW 16" in the hopes of reducing my 60' time.
Chad, I do not think that a Renntech has gone better than 11.25 though I am certainly open to correction.
Rockstar, that is exactly why I love it. I can drive clients around in a 4 door luxury car during the day, and then run low 11's or 190 at night. Kinda like the perfect wife- a lady in the boardroom and a slut in the bedroom.
Noredline, good to see you and thanks for the welcome. I'm definitely in the serious research mode on Vipers. I'm a good driver of an E but the Viper is a whole different world.
I love my cls55...its fairly quick and looks different than any other benz out there
I think i need to send my car to Kleemann.. what did they charge for all the mods? Renntech charges $16g for headers, airbox, computer and pully which does about 600hp. Have you ever dynoed yours? How well does it handle spray? I'd love to get my benz to trap mid - high 120s. PM me if you would rather not disclose this information to the rest of the boards
