My late friend here built a Reliant Nemisis NXT here in Panama. It was 1 of 7 in the world. His buddy Kevin Aldridge flies one (only a 540 CI engine) for the Red Bull racing team. My friend was the pit crew chief for the team. Unfortunately he also died in it. It had a 720 cubic inch Lycoming boxer, 8 cylinder engine, twin turbo. God knows the HP. He told me that he had it up to 428 knots at just over 1/2 throttle. That's pretty damn fast for a single engine prop plane, two seater. He said he had $450,000 in the build. The prop alone was $20,000. Unfortunately, he lost control of it on takeoff from Albrook airport here on his way to sell it and didn't survive the crash. He is sorely missed. I have a pic of the plane, but for some reason, I can't add it to this post?
I don't like making plans for the day, because then the word "premeditated" gets thrown around the courtroom.
