Anyone remember the guy on here that also had some old Ferraris and did all his own work? Or maybe it was a Lambo? maybe both? I remember pics of him pulling the engines out even himself to do everything in his garage...... forgetting who it was?

Shit yup, thats who it was. I remember pics back in the day of him pulling his own motors to do everything. That was skill, when you can take a Lambo or Ferrari motor out yourself for service, damn... lol

If you take your time its really easy. They design them to just drop out the bottom as an assembly. I can have the engine out in about 2.5 hours.

I think it was his Diablo, or maybe the TR that he determined had a cross brace that had to be cut out to drop the motor and re-welded upon re-installation.

BTW - I appreciate really sanitary plug wire routing. That Ferrari motor looks nice!

Nice engine bay pic and you always have great tips which begs the question, is your car ever in one piece for more than a month at a time?

My late friend who died in the plane crash here a couple years ago bought 2 new Lambos in I think 1989 or 1990. He was living in France at the time, and he drove to the factory in Italy and wrote them a check for a new white Countach (sp?) and a new black Diablo. As soon as they delivered the cars to his place in France, he pulled the engine out of the Diablo and disassembled it to see how he could get more power out of it. He just said fuck the warranty. If it breaks, I'll fix it. Must be nice.
