My current truck is 5 years old, and I am starting to get the itch for a new one. Was thinking about a Ford Raptor. Way more truck than I will ever use...but what the hell. Anyone have one or can share the bad's about this truck?
My neighbor has one and loves it, but he goes to his place in the desert most weekends. It's noisier and rougher on the roads than a standard F150, so if you are only offroad a few times a year, probably not worth it. They do seem to hold their value better.
Cummins is the only way to go! Great for hauling and easy to tune. Mine is an 07 so before def and fully deleted tons of power crazy fast and still get 20mpgs when not towing. Raptors are sweet and fast but not really a work truck.
love my new dually except when parking in a city. power like no other, doesn't even feel a fully loaded trailer and a bed full of gear. I'll never go back to a half ton.
but, if you don't tow a lot, or often, I've heard great things about the raptor. I wish they would make a lightning again, or a Harley version that's basically a crew cab lightning like they have in the past.
