The closing speeds on slower traffic were pucker inducing-
Hard to imagine the feeling of passing a semi while doing 190 mph ! The fastest I've driven on the autobahn was when driving an army motor pool VW Transporter van. Such a shame.
Speaking of Mclaren if you ever want to by an F1 be prepared to pay a shit ton of money just to let it sit in your garage. I am guessing some of this is a bit of a stretch such as the wheel balancing and from what I remembered it was not a homologation special like the current Ford GT is and the engine was made just for the F1.

Had to look that guy up, said he was some bubble gum exec... damn, bubble gum pays way better than I thought.....He had some insane micro car collection that he completely sold too..... I'm in the wrong field, time to go work for a bubble gum company
But the whole wheel balancing thing, that can't be fully true is it? Holy shit thats insane for tire setup if accurate lol. Even if I had fuck you money, just hearing that stuff he said, and if its true, would make me never want to own one

I call BS on the balancing part. Nascar (goodyear) balances each tire and rim on a dynamic balancer off the car. So does F1 and Indycar. Teams give the rims to the tire manufacturer at the track and it is done there. Now all the cars are new/rebuild for the race (i.e critical parts are replaced/rebuilt).
The only reason to balance on the car is to correct for imbalances in the drivetrain and suspension.
I think a lot of what the factory wants you to do is because they know most of their clients will do what they recommend....regardless of the cost. Elon Musk put 11k miles on one as a daily driver.....bet he never paid to have the car "race car balanced", lol.
The new 720S is a bad mofo! Best bang for the buck out right now and rumors it will even take out their flagship P1. One guy on youtube ran a 9.97 1/4 time bone stock and it dynod at 690rwhp on a hot day.
Not cheap, but if you are in the market, it is the car to get.
Mine arrives in March, memphis red. Test drove dealer car a few weeks ago. Never been in a car that felt that stable under hard acceleration. Car was planted.

Awesome! I really think it is a new evolution in supercars. Not only make them fast, but have luggage room, great visibility, and daily drivable ergonomics really puts it a step ahead of anything else out there. Not to mention it has all of that, and still is faster than most anything else out there for any price!
Good choice my man.
I wanted one of the early allocations, but just started building a house and don't really have a proper place for it. Decided to delay while I get the old car museum up. Just store it in there till my home is done, which will take forever.
