Oh. A "hook them up and see who drags who" contest? I'll bring my H1 to that event.

Told the guy to install a set of catch cans ASAP. But, last I heard, he's been battling cooling issues with that car now. So, yeah. Audi S and RS cars are fucking epic. EPIIIIIC. unfortunately, I'd never own one. The constant maintenance to keep it it purring would drive me nuts.
But the new ones... oh god, not the plebeian S4s, but the new RS7 etc.... I could not believe how quick that car is, or how hard it launches, you just don't expect that from a car that big, fucking rocket ship. Make the old cars look like Civics in comparison.

Given the Duramax in your H1, I would say 'yes'.

It has nothing to do with the power of the Duramax. It's the gearing and amazing traction control technology in the diffs and transfer case.

So, no bro, once again, the dyno poser queens don't always win

Never said I'd win, but I'd show up. I think it would be an interesting exercise.

So can we go back to making fun of V6 trucks now?

Not sure that I'd call Adam kissing the butthole of a dead squirrel "sex," but it was entertaining.

So is this all 6 cyl TT Ecoboost's or just the 13's. My wife has the 365 HP TT Ecoboost in her 2015 Explorer Sport. Still at risk or did Ford sort this out before the 15's?

This is an issue on all DI engines, some companies do a better job controlling the build up than others the 5.0 Jaguar engine does not suffer as bad as say Audi I have not read many horror stories about the Fords.

The only way to clean them is to take the intake off and chisel away the crud, walnut blasting or let them soak in an aggressive solvent to "loosen" the build up.

Not necessarily just Ecoboost, any D.I. engine from any manufacturer forced induction or not. Even the fixes like catch cans etc are just band aids, just inherent to D.I. design. A btw neighbor has an Explorer Sport as well, tuned, fat porker is quick.

edit - Boiler beat me, and Audi for whatever reason was and still is the worst offender, guys even with newer cars have taken in for service completely caked and gunked up in oil. Kinda odd as VW and Porsche etc are still susceptible but not as much, but Audi you still constantly hear about issues even on new cars taken in for service. Have a friend at local Porsche dealer but they do Audi etc as well
