The advantage to a light flywheel is heel & toe downshifting when you're at the track. In stop/go traffic, it makes it more of a pain to live with. The OEM flywheel is not designed to be resurfaced, but replaced with the clutch assembly. The Fidanza aluminum unit has a replaceable friction ring.
