Smile Air Bag suspension on Viper

Can I have air bag suspension on my 08 Viper? I just want to use them for in town driving obstacles. I figure they would be cheaper then body work. Only want to raise the car 4" or 5". Granny can even use them to get in and out of the car!

I've seen 2 done. One was at the VOI9 and was for a disabled person that lowered it to get in and then raised it when driving. Kinda cool for that use.

Question

You can't possibly be serious. There is a Viper truck, you know.

Shake the trees and the nuts fall everywhere. Geez.

Good idea - Enzo uses hydraulics for this purpose - but not sure air bags are what you'd want... I do not know from first hand experience but have heard they suck for handling and serious speed work.

The ultimate suspension ever conceived will enable ride height adjustment on the fly - it is 4 corner electromagnetic suspension (Bose) and makes the car body immune to road surface irregularities and keeps the car flat and steady at all speeds.... only problem is we may not see it on the showroom floor for another 10 years yet. Pity because that outperforms anything yet done by a huge margin like active suspension on steriods and far quicker and more accurate.

That plus electromagnetic ECU controlled engine valves (making infinitely variable valve timing a reality) will revolutionise what is now impossible - once commercially ready and reliable. By then tire technology will hopefully have raised the bar enough to take advantage of the extra capabilities.

I understand not wanting to 'run' with them. I mearly want to be able to raise the car for such things as ramps, dips across driveways, RR tracks ( I live in the country). I want to protact the body from sudden impact. I cracked the nose of a vette several years ago, that was very expensive. Just want to protect it, thats all.

I know of a McViper in NJ that has an air bag suspension. Fitting enough, his plate reads "RIDELOW".
