Will a Vette's Diablo Tuner Work with an SRT?

I have a Diablo tuner for my Z06 and it plugs right up to the SRT. It turns on and everything but it won't recognize that the SRT's ignition is in the "on" position. I just want to adjust the cooling fans so I don't cook evertime I drive it!

Is there anything I can do to the Diablo in order to get it to work with the SRT - just for this limited purpose? I don't want to dish out another $400 for a new one - it didn't wow me on the Vette so I suspect it's not that great for the Viper either.

Any thoughts?

I am sure the pin position is different between the 2 cars so do not try it. I dont think Diablo offers a tuner like that for the viper anyways.

I plugged it in and it does turn on; the only thing is that it can't recognize whether the key is in the on position. I have an e-mail to Preditor about it, although I'm sure I won't be able to do anything with it. I figured that it can't hurt to ask.

No, but it will hurt the cars computer if you keep plugging it in.

In that case I'm stopping as we speak. In either event, as you suggested, although the plugs are universal, the programs are completely different - according to Predator anyway (I just got the reply).

SO, there goes that idea. I guess I'm just gonna have to drive around with my air con blasting at all times. Such is the life for a Viper owner - woa as me....
