DAAAMMMN - I called JobB today to ask about some mods and he jumped my ass for calling him on Monday - said it is his "BUSY" day and he says he is a real prick on his busy days - his "usual" customers know that.
He also wasn't happy I was just looking at some small stuff to begin with - wanted me looking at the expensive stuff if I was bothering him on Monday!!!
Well I told him I am glad he knows he is a prick and we ended up having a good laugh.
I have heard he lighetens up a little - or do I just start everyone phone call with "hey prick - what are you doing?"
I prefer to communicate with him by e-mail and have bought a few things without ever speaking with the man. He has good prices and really knows what he is talking about, just use e-mail.
ROFLMAO at ZEN and RB, your both so right to RB it's almost like a right of passage, or some kind of initiation. At least you did business with the most valuable asset the viper community has as a source of knowledge and parts at THE most reasonable price, ok THE BEST PRICES. Oh ya and did i mention he's very knowledgeable?
No - I really wasn't putting him down to you guys, as long as he can take it as much as he can dish it out ( and from our short converstion he can), I won't have a problem with him. As I mentioned - we both had a good laugh - I think I will call him next Monday just to get him going again!!!
JonB has been super nice and gone out of his way for me for little tiny things. He has also reminded me that I am a small customer and there are more important clients to deal with when I am placing an order for a thousand bucks. It would be nice if he was always the nice JonB but I guess that is the way it goes.
the infamous grumpy mondays, i have never had a prob with JonB he is a stand up guy and that's why i send him my daughters's college fund in installments
He can be grumpy, but where else are you going to go. He knows it too. When I call him for small stuff he tells me if I buy something big he'll just throw the small stuff in for free. Maybe one day that line will work.
I have bought a few things from JonB and he is pretty grumpy 24/7. If he talks to you consider it a good day...if he talks to you and takes your order consider it a great day.
He's a great guy with lots of Viper knowledge and will really perform for you when it comes crunch time.
I have to say, I just got off the phone with Jon when we wasn't in the office. At first I could tell he was in the middle of something but he was very nice and was thorough in answering my questions, even giving me a little break on some prices.
You guys are going to give poor Jonb a heart attack!!
