My post from before on another thread August of last year, and I feel the same way:
He treats people LIKE SHIT. I called him for the first time this Friday about an entire exhaust system, with cats and a few other parts. I told him I had to check something on my car in order to make a decision. JonB was a bit condescending and unprofessional, but I thought maybe he had a bad day. I called him back on Saturday to order with literally my credit card in hand and he told me to go order on the website. I told him I wanted to order from him then and he said he didn't have time for me. He was TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND I WOULD RATHER THROW MY MONEY IN A FIRE PIT THAN BUY FROM HIM. If you guys are actually sitting here saying it is okay for a person to treat you like shit because he knows his stuff or gives prices-I think that is crazy. Never should a customer cringe handing over their hard earned money making an order with a vendor.

I had the exact same experience. Horrible customer service. I called him and told him exactly what I wanted with my credit card in hand and he gave me a tongue lashing! When I brought it up in a JonB thread over on the morgue he came in and called me a LIAR.... I sent the parts back AFTER I went ahead and bought it on his website for a full refund.
The first time I called him he couldn't have been more pleasant. I was interested in upgrading my brakes and he spent a good deal of time with me answering my questions and then gave me a great deal on a StopTech kit.
Three months later I call to purchase a flywheel but wanted to discuss the different options and he immediately tells me he has another customer on hold wanting to buy an exhaust system. That's cool, I told him no problem, can I leave you my number to call me back? "No, just use the web site" Well, I would like your input on the different options, when can I call you back? "All the information is on the web site, you can just order it from there" It seemed clear to me that his time was not worth the profit he would make from only a $400 fly wheel
If I need anything else from him, I hope I get the first guy I talked to. Otherwise I don't care what kind of deal I am getting, there are other places to do business and I am the kind of person that will gladly pay extra for good service and advice.
Well as long we call it some medical term, it is excusable. SCREW THAT! Now had he posted on here that he is bipolar and asking for understanding that would be different. in this case, it appears to be greedy highandmightyitis is the culprit.
JonB loses a few header sales and goes "Howard Dean" on the VCA.
Damn John, how many places are you going to post this? No one really thought he had a meltdown in your other thread. Perhaps you should go over there and post how you feel.

Been trying to use the website fro 3 days! Just want a few parts and the menus are screwed and it won't let me buy anything I don't care if he is an ass, never worked with him on anything all I know is he has good prices and that is all I am looking for. If I want to talk shop I go to the shop that does my work, ART. THE WEBSITE NEEDS TO WORK IN ORDER FOR US TO BUY THINGS
Never bought anything from partsrack since I just purchased my Viper last year but my first call to JonB and I was hoping to get some questions answered and hopefully place an order right then and there since I've read from previous threads that he's a "good" vendor to buy from....NOT! First thing he does is give an attitude, then said I was some shop that called about a product several times?!?THIS IS MY FIRST CALL! then he refers me to the website like he did to all the other guys who have experienced that line from a phone call and that's still useless since you didn't anwer squat .
At this time I figured he was busy and it was late in the day and maybe I'll just email him instead. Next day I email him and I get a reply hoping I get a better response but yet the email is just as useless as the convo! He was more concerned that I didn't "sign" my name on the email because he wants to keep "files" of customers more than he was with answering my questions . Well how the hell are you gonna file anything if you can't even answer a damn question without something shoved up your A*S and you expect me to purchase anything without an answer?
I'll take my business somewhere else and pay the extra cash rather than save a dollar or 2 for this POS customer service! I'm happy for those of you who had good experiences with partsrack or for those who dealt with this attitude just to be one of his "customers"
I've known Jon for over a dozen years and his attitude has pretty much been the same. It doesn't change the fact that he knows his product inside-out, can get you what you need in a hurry and prices range from decent to very good.

That's the only reason IMO he is still in business.
He is in a small market. He doesn't have much competition, but his prices beat everyone else. So us "customers" have to deal with his rudeness.
I think that is BS, but as long as people keep buying he will never change.
