Jon B should set up a 1-900-Call-Jon hotline so he can charge by the minute for his viper wisdom. sure the guy delivers and helps a lot of people - if you can put up with his "my panties are too tight" attitude. some of what he sells he actually owns or inventories. most of what he sells he is just a broker. all of what he sells can be had at cheap prices from places like roe or snake oyl. and i can beat his best hre wheel and michelin tire prices by 10% or more. jon b this is what you get for never calling me back. merry christmas!

I'd have to say I agree with John H. I called a few months ago and got a SHITTY attitude and his only excuse was "it's Monday, i'm busy..." I will NEVER EVER order anything from PartsRack and will do my best to make sure everyone knows his service SUCKS!

Great service...had a 3 way convo with Random Tech the first time I ordered from him. He's a little pushy, but no complaints...everything was done fast

Jon went out of his way to put me on a three way call with 'one of the top 3 Viper techs in the country' regarding a question that I had regarding a wiring harness problem.
I wasn't making a purchase, but he did it anyway.

Good guy, class act.

Good luck so far...

I got my hi flow cats from Jon at 1/2 the price of others...and they were the metal substrate random techs. When I pointed this out to the tuner who was doing my exhaust...he could not believe it...but it was true so I ordered them along with some other items.

When I placed my first order, Jon even joked if I had read the comments about him...that he had an attitude problem...as he pointed out to me that people get the wrong impression of him because usuallt he has 2-3 lines going and wishes he could spend the time with everyone without being short with them. Seems he knows that he is taken wrong sometimes...so that is not all that bad.

I think at the end of the day it comes down to common courtesy, you can get off the phone with someone like an asshole and you can get off the phone with someone like a gentleman. Unfortunately, he is one of those that gets off the phone like an asshole...

very very true Peter. I called too about a painted dash, and all MGW stuff. I wouldn't deal with the guy at all. Now if he offers tuners a quicker turn around for parts, then I hope he does well. As far as calling the guy one on one, expect to be treated like shit.

As someone who is new to vipers in general, having just purchased one last week, I have to say that JonB has been very rude. I have written him asking about products a few times and most of the replies are monosyllabic and maybe 2 sentences long, if I am lucky. Maybe the guy is extremely busy, but I don't see that as an excuse for extreme rudeness. I will be very hesitant to buy anything from him; if he is that busy, maybe he should consider trying to hire more people instead of running a one man show with bad customer service.

Parenthetically, does anyone know where to buy an aftermarket gas cap for SRT-10 vipers? I have seen a chrome product that you can glue on your gas cap door, which looks okay, but I have also seen one that replaces the entire factory gas cap mechanism in pictures and looks much nicer.

I bought a set of plug and play o2 sims from Jon B for $179.00. I plugged them in and they didn't play. After they were installed the check engine light came on. I reinstalled the o2 sensors, cleared the code, and the light did not return. I ended up removing the sensors from the exhaust flow and tied them up next to the transmission. It's been fine like that ever since. Not the way I wanted to do it but the sims wouldn't work so whatever.

I contacted Jon about returning the defective sims. Jon insisted the problem did not lie with the sims and essentially told me I screwed something up and I was on my own. You un plug the o2 sensors and plug the sims in place, that's it. How could I have screwd that up? Not the kind of response I was expecting after spending thousands with him a few months earlier on a set of Motons, Eibachs and Exhaust. Before the call was over he did ask me if I was still interested in purchasing the HRE's I'd talked to him about when I bought the suspension. Must have kept some notes in his outlook file on me.

For a lousy $179.00 he eliminated the possibility of any future business with me and I'll even show people where they can get a better deal on parts when ever the opportunity presents it's self.
