Larry personally returned my Viper around 1:20 PM Thursday, February 1, 2007.

From September 8, 2006 until February 1, 2007 he put 90 miles on it working on it.

There are still issues to be worked out.

I've driven it 2 miles total since it has been returned. It was very hard to start and died twice in traffic within the 1st mile. This may be due to the battery going bad while at Macedo's. I will replace the battery and see if things are any better. I also had no heat at all coming out of the vents no matter what setting I had the controls. It is 12 degrees outside now and heavy snow is accumulating about an inch per hour, so I'm waiting for global warming...

In the short time I drove it and the engine did run, the idle is correct for the special M2 cam, no surging or bucking was felt, and no high idle hang up appeared. Larry had put in the AEM-EMS system at his own expense over the VEC2 that it had before.

The average on 93 octane is:
736 rwHP
820 rwTorque


If I used 100 unleaded gas the numbers would be:
758 rwHP
848 rwTorque


Dyno tests done January 16 & 17, 2007.

Now lets be fare and also state that your viper tech drove the car to you and he reported publicly on here that the car ran great, never stalled, and the heat worked.

Another correction would be that the battery has lost a significant amount of charge due to the current cold weather since its been returned to Ohio. It did not go "bad while it was at Macedo's" since it started fine in Florida, and it started fine when Bobby drove it.

Let's be fair and state no matter how well or bad things went when other people had my Viper, it's how it is when it is returned to the customer that counts.

The battery appears to be bad as delivered to me.

The car has absolutely no heat coming out of the heat vents on any setting since it was delivered to me.

As far as I, the customer, sees it - my Viper was returned to me defective.

Just how many places do you feel that you need to tell the same story...over, and over, and over on? You have a freakin' thread started in the Gen I/II section that is painfully long...and now you drag it over here? Why don't you change the fucking battery first before stating that the work was defective? If you knew Larry was personally bringing the car up..why were you not a man and worked things out like a man so that you could be there to make sure that it was corrected? Once again, since you did not read it when I posted it before in the other forum - Larry did not tell me or my lawyer when or where he was delivering my car. He called my lawyer and gave him 10 minutes to get to Walker Motors. Larry did not previously even tell anyone which day he was delivering the car - all he said it would be delivered before the deadline, which he did. I was called to work at 6:30 AM the morning of the day it was delivered and Larry called my lawyer around 1:20 PM. I can't leave work at a moment's notice.

Larry delivered the car as promised, you delivered yet another moronic post trying to stir things up. This forum is for reports on Viper vendor and tuners, not personal attacks. I never called Larry Macedo names, I only reported as factually as I could my personal experience of my car at his business. Larry has not called me names - he has too much class for doing that. Why don't you?

Yes, I'm well aware my Viper Tech said the car started fine, ran great, and had heat.

I didn't have the same experience. It was hard to start for me - later someone told me that's normal for AEM cars, so no problem there, but my car died twice in traffic the next day within one mile, and I had absolutely no heat at all coming from any of the settings. I had absolutely no heat again yesterday.

Once again, if it isn't right for me when it's delivered to me, it's not right. If I gave you something that worked right for me and not for you, would you be happy?

Once again, if Larry would have told my lawyer or myself in advance of when and where it was being delivered I would have been there. Larry called my lawyer and told him he had 10 minutes to be there. My lawyer did not know I was teaching school and he had appointments that were previously scheduled and could not cancel them just because Larry gave him 10 minutes.

Wendy & Larry Macedo ,

I expect this to be my last Email on this subject. This is to advise that until Ken has the Viper inspected by an "independent" Viper tech* (see below) he will be unable to articulate all remaining issues with the vehicle.

Nonetheless, Ken does have the following issues now:

1) The check for $500 as per Larry's 8/10/06 Email was never sent,

That is very odd, Kenny. If I look back to earlier this week you stated the car is much improved since the card changes were made. I discounted the price on the AEM components and you stabbed me in the back. Hell, you only gave me one chance to rectify any problems and told me the car was much better. Now this? I will send you a check for $500, Kenny. Thank you!

2) Ken is uncertain as to the status of the 2 PCMs and it appears that you remain in possession of at least one $420 PCM,

3) The heater does not work, the car may be running hot,

4) Ken and I have several times requested a summary of work performed and parts changed and no such summary has been received,

5) Ken needs instruction service manuals/warranty cards for the AEM-EMS system and for the Jeff Morys striker heads,

6) Padding for the roll bar was never installed (Larry said my roll bar would be like the one used in the SRT which is padded, but it ended up being a different but good design except the bar would hit by anyone's head if the car acellerated rapidly or was in an accident - it's bare painted metal now and the manufacturer of the custom roll bar would be liable for any cracked skulls), and last but not least,

7) Several operational issues remain that will be clarified upon the Viper tech inspection, but relate to the fact that Ken's Viper stalled twice in traffic and has major starting issues.

In any event, some of the matters discussed herein are easily resolved and I would suggest you at the very least take care of these. Please direct all further communications directly to Ken and if something urgent should arise you and you would need to speak with me you have my telephone number.

I have recieved a small package today from Larry, but it was not anything that was requested above. The package contained something from Snow Performance - probably something to do with my water/methanol injection system - but no explaination for what I need to do with it was included with it.

Larry and Wendy Macedo are still contacting my lawyer (Bill James) rather than myself.

*My Viper Tech also works for Larry, which is why an "independent" Viper Tech or Tuner would do the inspection. It's only a 2 mile drive from where my Viper was dropped off to my house.

I'm sorry if I got it wrong, Bobby.

Dave had told me in August 2006 that Macedo had told him that he wasn't allowed to help me with my car* and he also told me that Macedo forbid you to work on my car as well. Maybe instead of just taking his word on it I should have asked you if you were under orders from Macedo to not work on my car.

*This was a few days after Dave had put a special Macedo VEC2 tune that caused my car to backfire continuously and surge violently and could barely get to 40 MPH at half throttle. Larry had Dave call me to tell me that news. A few days after that Wendy Macedo said if I even have anyone else even so much as look at my car the Macedo Warranty would be voided. A few days after that she answered my question about the Macedo Warranty by telling me there is no warranty. Larry told both my lawyer and myself at the same time that he would be sending me back my VEC2 cards with an update on them, but he never sent them. They were returned February 1, 2007 - a wait of 5 whole months after Larry said he was sending them back right away.

The question are - Did Larry tell you that you were not allowed to work on my car as Dave reported to me? Would you have worked on my car anyway?

I never asked have you been paid. Are you denying that Macedo talked to you about Kenny's car? You are admitting that your a friend of his, wouldn't that make you biased given the situation? When SIMMS, SuperDavz, etc... nutswingers say that "Kenny's" own vipertech disputes what he's saying, they are failing to say that your Macedo's friend.
