Re: HRE WHEELS INC.

I won't be ordering HRE 546R's now, sounds like a lousy company. Probably to fat and sassy like many large companies. These wheels are way over priced for the quality of workmanship and service. I dont mind spending good money on good products and service, but it won't be with HRE. Thanks all...

Had HRE 547's. nice looking wheel but played out and apparently getting complacent in their customer service. Time to move on to something else...

Re: HRE WHEELS INC.

i've never had an issue with mine, but also never had to send them back for any reason. you'd think they'd bust balls to make this right since word of mouth is everything in the aftermarket trade. also you'd think they'd start doing something about their prices considering fiske's are still $1k less on average and ccw's are $2-3k less. after hearing this i don't think i'll be buying from them again.

Re: HRE WHEELS INC.

Seems pretty whack that you pay $5k + for wheels and then have to take on the expense of chroming them because the clear coat is peeling.....seems they are getting a little too caught up in the HRE name and forgot what got them where they are.

Re: HRE WHEELS INC.

I have HRE 547's on my car and really love the look. However, I am seeing more and more quality issues regarding HRE lately. Hopefully, this will be corrected before I ever need their help!!!

Re: HRE WHEELS INC.

I have a set of HRE's on my TR. Sent one back in for service, got it back less than a week at its shop, perfect condition. No probs. Sry to hear others haven't had the same service. Sound like maybe they are having some inconsistancy issues.

I used to live a couple miles from the "factory" where HRE is headquartered and went there a few times. The guys were always super cool and took me around the entire factory showing me how they are made and all the different styles. I pulled the viper up out back and they carried all different styles out of the warehouse to hole up to the car to see how they look. From what I saw i'd say they are the best wheels on the market and the guys name was Bruce that I talked to a few times there who was super cool

Thumbs up Hre

I just wanted to drop a comment. Mike at HRE "was awesome, as well as all the other guyz there when I was dealing with them about 4 months ago.

I had wheels that I THOUGHT were HRE's and werent. They spendt time on the phone helping me determine. Viewed the pics I emailed them and found that they weren't HRE"S. I traded the wheels for some 18in HRE's. The wheels after the trade were sent to

Wheels america, who took 4 weeks to chrome. and one wheel could have been better. Had a few speckles in the chrome. Well the wheels were leaking after I got them back from Wheels america.

I had missing hardware on the whels (nuts and bolts holding them together.

I called HRE and they asked me to bring them down to take a look. The wheels had some bullshit seal on them.

I really wish I could remember the guys name in the back that works on the weels. He was an African American guy and I only say that cuz he I think was the ONLY afrian american guy I saw there and this guy was AWESOME!!!! They offferd to reseal the rims but advised me it was easy, i could do it myself and not have to pay anything. He told me exactly what to do. I bought all new hardware for all 4 wheels. I only bought bolts, they gave me 50% off!!!!!

AND included new chrome valve stems, and 4 new center caps free, gave me great support by phone and email.

I would use them again in a HEARtBEAT. They didnt try to rip me off, the were honest and there place was great, and they did ALL THIS WHILE GETTING READY FOR THE SEMA SHOW!!!!!

I give these guyz a 10!!!!!

Todd

Todd

I don' t know ANYONE who has been fully satisfied with Wheels America. There are always 1 or 2 in each set that aren't up to the standards of the other wheels. If you just want them straight, and reasonably presentable for track duty, they're fine.

I'm on my 2nd set of HRE's. (547's and now 546R's).

I am 100% satisfied with the quality of the wheels.

IMHO, none better.

What does anybody think about BBS, Konig, OZ, ROTA, RO_JA, or Work? I know they're a little ricey (excluding BBS), but maybe they might be better than HRE's.

Saw a set of HRE wheels the other day on a vette. The design of the wheel itself was nice but the 3 of the 4 wheels had peeling clear coat and some silver paint chipping away. I would never buy HRE wheels especially after reading this thread.

The best wheels... IMO You can hit potholes, go around the track 1000000 times and never have a problem.. Im not into the baller bling bling look ... So the models that these two companys offer are right up my alley.. Kick ass and very veyr durable.. I have had both on my Supras and LOVE THEM! And my SSR COMPs.. lol..

Did I mention EVERYONE has HREs? Civics,eclipses,vws...

Buying rims and wheels before spring. HRE no. Sick and tired of these asshats that damage what they are supposed to fix and then deny it when you both know they are lieing out there ass. I'd be to embarassed to pull that shit. Which is why I'll never work in sales. These boils on the ass of humanity ought to be taken out and shot.

F'ing carpet baggers. HRE fellate a shotgun.

Have a great day!!
