ZO6 vs 08Viper

Hi everyone.
I alrdy own an 08 zo6 and i must say, its an incredible machine. I also ordered the new 08 viper vert and will be taking delivery first week of october ( pics to follow )

Now my question is, ppl who own both or have driven both, what differences are outright obvious? pros and cons?

i have learned from diff ppl that vipers are amazing in feel and performance, while the zo6 is more comfortable and easier to drive.....but i need more than that...specifics if may ask. What really seprates them than mere comfort levels, noises and looks...

Thank u all in advance for ur inputs.

I have both
Once you get used to drive the 08 viper and you drive the z06 you feel the zo6 so underpowered.

I raced both of them the zo6 only manages to hold with the viper in 1st gear
2nd gear the viper basically leaves the zo6 and by 3 gear the zo6 is back by 6 car lengths

I will try to shoot a video and show you the difference soon

watch my short clip of the viper in saudi arabia

6 cars seems a lil harsh....but i would love to see the video.

i do have some general knowledge bout the 08 viper but wanted some personnel opinions from ppl here at the forums, reviews if u wanna call them cuz honestly, mag reviews are biased all the time.

And i have never driven the 08 viper as there r none available for sale here in dubai. Just ordered it from states and it should be here oct.

I think comparing it with a z06 is a good idea cuz on paper they r close to each other plus i have been driving one for 3 months now...would get a better idea from ppl who have driven both.

thx again.

Guys...You gotta remeber that while the 2008 Viper has only been 2-3 mph and 2-3 tenths faster than the C6Z06 in head to head comparisons....

It has been a full .5-1 second faster to 140 and 150 mph than the C6Z06 in head to head comparisons....

So from a dead stop tp 140 plus mph expect the Viper to be 5-6 cars ahead...

I really want another Viper and have seen some unbeleavable prices on 2004 verts with 12-15K miles ( 47K)

But I will hold out till I can afford a 2008 monster

I think a lot of it is the way they drive. I drove an 05 SRT after driving an 06 Z06, while comparable in power...the Viper felt so much more raw and the mountain of torque made it feel much faster. So I think SOTP, Viper wins...but in reality it's fairly close. But 08 Viper, I would imagine it pulls away a fair bit.

Good video!

I had both a 06 Viper coupe and 07 Z06 for 1.5yrs and can say the Viper was more fun to drive and got a lot more attention. My wife would beg to drive the Viper and has never asked to drive my Z. I'd also find myself really driving the Viper much more on the street then the Z, in which I typically just drove the Z like a normal car. The feel and sound of the car really makes you want to drive it. Nothing beats the experience.

The only thing the Z06 has on the Viper is overall comfort, options and warranty experience. I had a lot of little problems with my Viper and all the dealerships around me had their heads so far up their asses that they could never fix it, and they always gave me shit when I took the car in for service. And every Viper owner I know complains about the same thing.

The only reason I don't have an 08 in my garage right now is because I don't want to deal with the hastle of ever having to take it to a dealership for warranty work.
