Answer: packaging.

It was hard enough getting this blower to fit. Most guys slap a paxton on and call it a day. This kit is for those guys that are not going to forge the bottom end and go all the way. Everyone knows if thats what you want then go turbo.

I have had a couple Z06s and never seen one with a power curve like that. Even my MTI 427 didn't come close.

Good post, I see what your saying. I'll see if i can find some of the clips of the new ls motors with the magnacharger as the kenne bell unit is still being worked on. I realy was hoping for a monster roots type option due to the sound and torque but I get the packaging issue. Any ideas on how big of a pulley will come out like a 10 or 12lb?

Next Viper will be a TT or a Paxton for me, until then my 10 Lb Roe that is putting down some serious power (more than the graph for this example) will be the driver.

In regards to blower size, besides the physical part. The majority of cars will never upgrade the cast pistons and they are fairly weak so I guess they decided not to spend all the extra work to have a larger s/c. But remember, the gen2 kit was originally a 5lb kit A SRT with good tires and this s/c at an autocross will be almost unbeatable !!

How about the opportunity to have 900 rwhp. You can't have that with the Roe. But hey, they have sold A LOT of those buggers for the GenI/II so I know there is a market for it. And Sean is a hell of a decent guy.

Man, Now i am on the fence. I had a Gen II car w/Roe, heads, 10LBS pulley,etc.. Making 747 RWHP. Gobs of power down low but fun power. It Makes dogging the shit out of the car fun and without having to put your foot in it. That being said i just bought the paxton for sale in the classfieds. The problem i have is i want to ride the line between stock HP and too much HP where reliability becomes a factor. My last car was fun, fast and enough HP for me but something was always breaking. Then you have issues like: The Roe is nice & easy. My GenII could be installed by myself in 4-5 hours. No tunning on a stock motor. The Gen III kit is just as simple and with some light mods be pushing 650. I think mid to high 600 is where i need to be. The paxton i hear is about a 20 hour install, with mods like tapping the oil pan. Throw a belt on a roe and if you have a spare you are back on the road in 10 mIN. Throw one on a paxton and you will be towing home. Plus i on't know how i will feel by making the power late in the RPM's. Sell the paxton before i put it on or try something new? The debate goes on....

Lemke or someone should come out with some sort of rear exhaust kit so we can get the Gen II sound out of the SRT's...and maybe we could keep our hearing too.

Looks nice. I was sorta hoping for a 3.3 Liter unit, as was hinted earlier, but packaging is packaging. However, if these are the new "Big Bore" Superchargers from Kenne Bell, they are supposed to be a lot better in every regard. Less power to drive than other similar chargers (they claim up to 56 HP), denser charge air, and flow enough for 1000 HP crank. I think with proper water/meth usage, we might see 800-850 RWHP out of these guys. Add a 75 shot of juice on top and I bet it will jump into the mid to high 900 range. Good competition for the Paxton. BTW...I don't mind the air filters. They are in a good place to get cool air and are sized properly for the application. However, I have always been a function over form kinda guy, so...

Do you have to remove the hood heat insulator pad for the ROE unit to go on?

Pretty sure Sean mentioned on the Morgue post that he did have to remove it for the SC, along with removing some material from the underside of the hood.
