Hey guys I A newbie to the viiper CLub... i JUst finished Buying a 03 Viper srt-10 i traded my 06 z06 for it... i bought the car sunday and by monday i had a 200 hundred shot on it ( wet kit) the only thing the car has is exhaust.... what is the most nitrous this cars can handle with race fuel ? my z made 530wrhp and 745wrhp. with nitrous( 300Shot) with race fuel... i took the viper to the dyno all motor it made 454 wrhp and and bottle 620wrhp. also what programs can you use to tune this car? right now i am on a stock tune..
I dont think the tin can pistons can handle that much nitrous. I have heard of 100-125hp shots on stock motors but nothing more. Let me qualify that, nothing more where the engine lasted. Be very careful! 10:1 AFR for sure with that much nitrous.
Should look at getting a progressive controller to save the drivetrain. Some have had luck with running a 200 shot, some have not. 200 is pushing it with the cast pistons. I was running a 200 shot, now car is getting other upgrades and will be bumping down the shot to a 150. I have a 2004.
i ran a 200 shot with propane for a year or so and 30 15lb bottles but i never went crazy with the pressure i finally broke 2 pistons but i beat on the car alot so i expected it to break. it made 626rwhp and 861rwtq with the 200 and a/f was 11.0 and under the propane may have helped it isnt 140 octane but its over 100.
if you had a c6 z with a 300 shot and you didnt break it you must have good luck with cast pistons. the only person i know of spraying that much stock on a c6 z stock is the batmobile, is this alex?

If you were running a 300 shot and only made 530rwhp, that means you were only making 230rwhp or so, depending on the kit without nitrous. I also call BS with the 300 shot.
I know of two Z06s sprying BIG. they make in the mid 700 range. one of them only makes 460s on motor, the rest is juice!

i would normally agree with you but there is a guy down in south florida with a bomb on his z06 they call the car the batmobile and he went forever without getting beat but v10tt called me and told me were he was at so i drove 50 miles south and ran him the car only runs c-16 all the time (the exhaust tips are solid white) we ran from a 55mph roll and i beat him by 1/2-1/4 car at the time he had low to mid 700 and i had 760rwhp and 800rwtq.
we both went and put more spray on our cars but didnt get a clean race. but after he had so much nitrous and no problems alot of the guys in miami though you can do this with no problems before our last meating i went to the dyno and stepped it up alot and he went to get more but couldnt make our race some assume he hurt his car but now i hear he is or was gonna trade in the z06 for a viper. the videos of our races are on youtube and streetfire and the 1st one is on this site somewere.

Without motor work good luck yeah he might run you a couple of times then something is going to go through the side of the block....150 shot can believe stock motor but 300 shot...
if you guys go to youtube. and type in MauricioZ06 all look at all my videos you'll seen my z on the dyno... and there is like 4 other z's in miami going around with a 300 shot on a stock motor with stock pistons and every .thing... and yea i lost to a z with heads and cam the other day for $200 my bottle was empty. i did 2 dyno pulls .raced a saleen mustang twice a dulley once and after the dully race i tried it out on the highway with the heads and cam z 3 times and we were tied.. thats y we ended up racing for $200 because i let the shit talking get to me when we went back to the hangout.... and all these races were done on the same day with the same 15lbs bottle....

Why? Viper is slower!, and mod for mod,unless you go BIG forced induction 900++ rwhp on the Viper (in your case built motor $$$) the Z06 is faster, and wins everytime.
The Z is lighter, and revs to 7k. The viper looks nicer, and is Bad, but in the the bolt ons performance game the Z owns it!

are you mauricio? your boy kept calling me and telling me you want to race me for money and you were gonna crush me from a 50 roll, we even had a 500$ run lined up but after the batmobile had problems they said you went to puerto rico for a month and then you were coming back to whoop me good. if this is muricio.
