finally switching to the viper side...and have a few questions..

i bought a 05 c6 corvette back in 05 when i was 22. the viper was a little out of reach at the time. so, i more or less "settled" for the corvette. though, i have always had a soft spot for the blue collar sports car.

now, im kind of tired of it to be honest. the battery wont stay charged, the roof rattles, it has an orange peel paint job, the A/C has gone out, and several ball bearings have gone out aswell.....it just feels cheap.

the viper is what was on my wall as a kid. i want one....bad.

im looking at a few 06 srt coupes. i just have a few questions before i go through with it. mainly, im curious about yearly maintenance. i can afford the out the door costs of the car, i know that. thats pretty much black and white. i just dont know what its like to live with it day to day.

i dont care about the "daily driverness" of it. i have the ram for that. but would it cost me an arm and a leg to replace certain parts or other hidden maintenance costs?

i know this is a noob question, and hope its not too vague.

having a great car (like the viper) is great fun, but when youre over your head....you are no longer the owner of the car, but the slave to the car.
